Dr. Ming-Shian Kao specializes in gynecologic oncology. He treats patients with gynecologic malignancies and performs complex female pelvic surgery. He is interested in research into the development of new therapeutic modality for gynecologic oncology. Dr. Kao is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health, Section of Gynecologic Oncology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Kao founded a gynecologic oncology subspecialty training program in Taiwan, where he established a medical school. When he is not teaching or caring for patients, Dr. Kao travels the world. He is fluent in Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese.
