I was here on 8/24/2018. Myself and 4 friends stopped in for a late lunch. No one was in the restaurant when we got there. We were the only customers. Our waitress was very nice. But the food was not good. Came out one plate at a time. We were told by waitress, the cook/ owner was on a
phone call about a wedding she would be catering. We asked to speek to her and she never did come out.
She was trying to cook our food while on the phone!! My lasagna noodles were not done and the meat in the sauce was burned when I finally got it an hour after ordering.
Two friends ordered the exact same meal ,one got it the other did not.
I would not normally post but when the owner wouldn't even come talk to us that said alot!!

I work by Lou Boccardi's and eat there quite often, Lily, the owner is very sweet and helpful I have never had an unpleasant experience, either with the food, or with the staff, I have been eating there for several years, The bottom line for me is quality, service, and price, and They meet all of those requirements for me.

Bad Experience

I've been going to Lou Boccardi's for years. And I've always had good food & good service, at reasonable prices. And I've always recommended Boccardi's to everyone. But never again. My last visit there really will be my LAST! If you want good Italian food at reasonable prices and good service, there are plenty of GREAT restaurants on "The Hill" owned by people who appreciate your business. This owner, apparently, does not! After our most recent visit, we were told (through our waitress) that our coupon would not be honored. When we offered to make an additional purchase to make our coupon "technically" acceptable, we were told we would have to eat the additional dinner there ... ( we just ate) , no carry out when we're done. We're arguing ( through our wonderful waitress, Fran ) about a STUPID COUPON!!! A few lousy bucks! After a tasty lunch, we left with a really bad taste in our mouth. There ARE OTHER really good Italian restaurants on " The Hill". We won't be back.
