I lived at Lavina for years before moving to KC, I liked living there, it was quiet for the most part, and you can't control what others do, I'm moving back to KC in a couple months and hope to get back in there.

These apartments look deceptively nice due to the recent renovations. For the price, it seems like a good deal. However, I would not advise renting here!!! There is no insulation what so ever in the building. I could hear the people below me opening and closing cabinets and drawers, snoring, coughing, talking, engaging in intercourse, showering, running the garbage disposal, and pretty much any other activity in which they engaged. I began suffering from sleep deprivation due to the constantly high noise levels.



The neighbor across the hall would blare music and movies that I could hear through my entire place. He would also smoke so much that I had to use an air freshener to cover up the smell in my kitchen and living room. The management was aware of this issue and told right AFTER I signed the lease with them.



This same neighbor later THREATENED ME WITH A LOADED GUN. He was arrested but the management was insistent that he had done nothing wrong! To my knowledge, they did not even try to evict him, which is required by state law! THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS NOT SAFE!



Tracy, at the IREMCO office would not return my calls until I contacted her boss, and then still nothing got accomplished without my making repeated calls to her. The on-site manager, Karleen is unreliable as well. When these problems began, I would schedule times to meet with her and she would not make any record of the appointment and be unprepared for the meeting. She is also not on-site during most of the supposed "office hours.".
