James Pearson has been my go to place for all services I receive, for years! They are fantastic at what they do the ladies I go to, Stephanie Chong, and Shirley, work wonders on me. I know the others there are just as expirienced though. Stephanie does my cut and color and I love it. She knows exactly what I want and how to make me happy. Shirley does my nails, and I get a French and love it !!! Best one in town. Then there's Chong who does my facials and arches. I love them, I couldn't ask for better shaping for my brows and my facials are heavenly. I fall asleep in her room easier thn in my own bed!! Love this place. The only bad thing is once you go your hooked! I now get my facials monthly my manicures biweekly and my hair every four weeks! Hope you love them as much as I do!

I get my haircut by Susan, she's the best. The receptionists are always friendly, and the owner is pretty awesome. Won't be taking my money anywhere else...

I get my spray tans here, as well as my extentions! They do a beautiful job, I love James Pearson!

I get facials and massages here. I personally enjoy every minute of both of the services and I have been going there for years. When I leave town I occasionally try a massage somewhere else, but nothing compares to Carleens soothing touch!

I love this place. I have come here for years to get my facials Massages, waxing, hair, and much more done. The staff caters to my needs, handles my appointments, and treats me with respect anytime I walk through their door. The decor is beautiful. They have and will always be a class A Frontenac salon to me. I love Neeta who does my waxing, Barbara and Chong who do my facials, and Sandi who does my hair weekly. I also get my nails done by Shirley. They are the greatest! Ill always be a loyal customer to this salon.

I purchased a travelzoo voucher for this salon for my wife and myself. It was for a one hour massage and one hour facial. I thoroughly enjoyed my expirience and my wife did as well. I purchased a series for the two of us. The people are friendly and prompt. The ambiance was relaxed and soothing. Very nice Frontenac salon!

I have to say that I was so disappointed in this salon. I had never heard of this salon until I bought a TravelZoo deal for a massage and facial. Judy, who did my massage, was fantastic, but that's the only thing positive I can say about this place. My mom and my sister were there as well and we were celebrating my mother's 60th birthday. I called ahead of time to see if there would be a room for us to be in to enjoy a small lunch. I was assured there was a place. The area, instead of being a spa sanctuary, was in an area where the rinse bowls were for the hair wash stations. No private room. My mom and my sister had very poor facials. The woman was out of the room the same amount of time she was in the room (or should I say closet) for the facials. She did not really do anything but put the products on the face. She used 1 washcloth and in between rinsing the washcloths threw the cloth in the sink. When questioned about putting the rag in the sink and reusing it on their faces, she rudely declared that she washes her sink and "these facials normally cost $75 and you're getting them for 1/2 price." She also was defensive saying that she has been doing them for 22 years. Various forms of music (rap, contemporary, easy listening music) could be heard blaring both in the massage rooms and facial closet. You could easily hear employees being paged when their clients arrived. The woman who was supposed to be doing my facials, who turned out to be the owner, was over 30 min late for my appointment--never once apologizing claiming some sort of mixup, but not the least bit apologetic or concerned. Also, decor out of the 70s and clearly has not been updated in some time. Overall, a pretty horrible experience and I definitely would not go here at all.

The salon I went to from 1975 until it closed was always clean and the people working there appeared to be friendly with each other and were all friendly to everyone's clients. Two of the hairdressers, a shampoo girl and the manicurist moved to Pearson, so I moved too. It seemed to have what was a one time fancy decor but had become dated. The people at the desk were inconsistent and whoever happened to see you standing there came over to see what you wanted. After about a year of coming in weekly, with a standing appointment for a manicure and every 6 to 8 weeks for a haircut, they still did not know my name. On the morning of my appointments there were never more than 3 or 4 customers there so how hard could it be. They were they not paying attention.



My hairdresser is no longer there and it seems that is the reason I have tolerated the situation - for the great cuts he has given me for the last 30 plus years. He was innovative and liked to do fun cuts and color. Age was not the issue, imagination and understanding my weird hair is what counted.



I have decided that after 2 or 3 years, or however long it has been, that it is just not worth it. The staff bickers all the time about who is doing what to whom, who is working harder and accusing each other of theft. It also appears they believe they have the "preferred clientele" and exert an effort to impress you, and the place is not very clean. Actually it is pretty dusty, enough to trigger allergies sometimes.



There is, however, one customer I will definitely miss, she is a lovely lady. That is a real shame.
