Ryan gave us the best price on a rebuild for our 2002 Explorer and it shifts ok now, but there were issues when we picked up the car. The oxygen sensor wires were not properly routed to the exhaust pipes causing one to rub on the drive shaft and one to lay on the exhaust pipe. We had to pay to repair the oxygen sensor.
The shift indicator on the dash was out of adjustment and Ryan said there was no way to adjust it and that was normal after a rebuild. My dealer adjusted the shift indicator for us. There was also a significant oil leak that started after the transmission repair that my dealer found was a vent tube on the top of the transfer case that was left unhooked. In all additional repairs cost around $250.00. Ryan seemed to have the attitude that once the vehicle left his shop, the problems that became apparent were in no way his fault. He didn't even offer to look at the vehicle. This experience left me to conclude I cannot recommend Hy-Tech Transmissions to anyone.
