Be warned if using South County Surgical. My wife and myself had our colonoscopies there and before we did, we called to make sure they were in our insurance network and we were told yes, there would be no charges. HOWEVER they failed to tell us that the anesthesiologist was not in the network ( United Health ) so we are on the hook for $1800 . Had we known this, we would not have used them. I believe they did not tell us about the anesthesiologist , because they knew we might not use them. There is no way they could not have known he was not a network provider.
