I had a persistent roof leak, that had started attracting Carpenter Ants. I sat down on a Saturday morning calling numerous roofers, only a hand full responded. Tony not only called back but stopped by the same day and fixed right away. I am very happy with work that was done.

Called for an estimate on leak repair in our roof. Estimator was very punctual and did an excellent job identifying problem, explaining problem and showing pictures of the problem. Asked about installation of a solar tube which he said he would include with the estimate of the roof repair. Estimate came within the week. Took numerous calls to get a date for repairs to be done. I know the ordering of the solar tube delayed things but once they were reminded about the leak in the roof they sent Mike out promptly to fix the plumbing stacks. Mike was great. He got right to work and communicated everything done. Other than no more leaks you could not tell Mike was here. Everything was cleaned up! Once the solar tube came in Mike was right out. Again, he did a great job. He was very excited about the installation of the solar tube which was fun. We are very happy with the solar tube and are thinking about having another one installed....by the same company!

They are done with the roof and that went great. It has been very easy to work with them on timing (they came two weeks earlier than expected and called a day ahead to let us know) and other arrangements. We are very pleased. Everyone has been very nice and professional.

We had an extremely positive experience. We called EBS at first thinking we needed a repair. Anthony was prepared to repair the roof, but was candid that our roof was of terrible quality and we were just sticking our finger in a crack in the dam. Anthony gave an incredibly competitive bid, and was very patient with all of our questions.

EBS was so responsive to our small projects. They made sure that someone came out quickly to fix the fascia so it would not get worse with the continued forecast for storms and wind. I was really impressed by this. Further, Anthony came to fix our roofing for the ice-damming himself to make sure we did not wait too long for that repair.

Their quote is for $3800. I found them on Angie's List. So far I have not had any problem with them. I think they have been accurate. Everybody can be nice upfront but need to wait and see what happens when they do the roof. I will consider them in the future.

Leo, the co-owner, was very thorough. Actual work performed took longer than anticipated. A few minor issues were corrected promptly by crew supervisor. Leo was helpful in ensuring satisfaction. I would recommend them to a friend.

We had leaks in our roof which we couldn't figure out. They came and diagnosed the problems and fixed them. We were pleased with their expertise.

They inspected the roof on my rental property and sent me a written report. It was an open property and they also had a 5% for Angie's List members. They were responsive and professional. They came on time and it was a good price for me. They also repair roofs and I will use them in the future, too.

They reinstalled my 3 skylights, re-roofed around them and installed the rest of the necessary items to make them water tight on our two story house. They also re-roofed the sides of my mansard roof and installed flashing. We had competent and quick workers, professional workmanship and clean up. I just cant say enough good things about these people.

The estimator came out; looked at the problems; told us the solutions and gave us bids. Then sent the workers out two days later. Everything and everyone was very professional and worked quickly.

They had to work under extreme conditions. We have a steep roof on a 2-story house. We are six feet from our neighbor's property line, and the neighbors won't let us--or any of our workers--step foot on their property. Anthony's crew had to climb up the other side of the roof, and go up and over to replace the roof. It was ridiculous, and yet they did it: quickly and expertly.

After a big storm I noticed water on the floor of our kitchen at the back door and some water near the ceiling. Anthony from EBS was able to come out a few days later, immediately saw what the problem was and made the repair from materials on his truck. All we needed was some caulk and a little tuck-pointing. Although we have yet to get any significant rain to test the work, I'm sure that we won't see water again by the kitchen door. This is the third time we have used EBS for various needs, from new roof to cornice repair, and I won't hesitate to call or recommend them again.

The crew leader was careful to explain the nature of the work that would be done and requested feedback on his proposed approach. The company's project manager returned two days following completion of the project to both inspect what his workers had done and to review the scope of the project and my expectations of it.

The days immediately prior to the beginning of our siding project brought some of the Spring's rainiest weather. Due to the nature of our yard's drainage, some places were almost swampy. Despite muddy conditions, however, work was done in a timely manner and the siding was cleaned free of unavoidable mud at project's end.

They did a good job, and they were very responsive. The price was also very reasonable. They were a little late getting started with the service, but once they got started they finished it in 48 hours. I have gone to their office before, and they are very professional. I have recommended them to others, and they have not had any problems with them.

During several recent, heavier storms since June of this year, I noticed right around the drain/waste vent system's pipe, there was moisture and some dripping. I suspected it was due to a cracked or damaged rubber boot for the pipe's vent on the roof, but access to that is not easy, nor is it something I was comfortable doing myself. As a result, Exterior Building Solutions was the only company I called who not only had a good reputation on Angie's List, but also was available without having to wait 2-3 weeks. They came out within 2 days and were able to confirm my suspicions, as well as give me an overall assessment of the rest of the roof. I agreed for them to make the associated repairs the next day, and thus far I have had no problems with moisture nor water in the drain/waste vent system anymore (it has rained a couple of times fairly hard and I have had no water present near the waste system's pipe anymore). The person who did the job was very nice, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. I will certainly put them at the front of my list the next time I need any roof repair done.

Mike was very professional, punctual and knowledgable. He did not try to talk me into a new roof. He explained that the membrane itself was in good condition, but that the edges in several places needed patching and sealing. Most refreshing of all was that he understood that I was capable enough that I could easily do the patching myself. He even talked me through the process and gave product recommendations. I was so impressed that I will definitely be going back to EBS when the time comes to replace the entire roof.

Great. All of this work took place over a span of about 3 months due to timing of stucco repair in between phases. After the work was completed, there was still a minor leak onto the front porch during heavy rain, but they came out soon after and found the problem, which was a simple piece of step flashing that had gotten cut back during the decorative trim process.



Pros:

-For the most part everyone was professional and willing to work with the various issues that needed to be fixed.

-All workers are employees of the company and not sub-contracted out. -Workers were friendly and took time to explain to us every step and work through some of the un-forseen problems that old houses tend to bring up.

-End result is an old house that looks new. No more leaky gutters, clogged down spouts, or ugly aluminum siding that does not belong on a craftsman style bungalow.

-So far so good on the impossibly persistent leak that we have been dealing with for 2 years, and we have had a couple good rains since they last came out to repair the step flashing that got cut back in the last phase of work. Will definitely hire again for future work.

I sold a home and the buyer's inspection report included eight roofing-related issues. EBS took care of them all and finished the work before the closing. The list included a skylight replacement, spot gutter cleaning and spot gutter replacement, chimney cap repair, and extensive tuckpointing. EBS did a great job and I would use them again.
