About Volz Incorporated has played an integral role in shaping the landscape of the St. Louis Region since 1969. In 1974 Volz aquired nearly a century of survey records from Elbring Survey Company, the first County Surveyor in St. Louis County. These records dating back to 1877 have provided Volz with an extensive library of surveys performed across the region. Robert N. Volz, Chairman, St. Louis native and graduate of Ritenour High School, realized a vision and started Volz Engineering and Land Surveying As the years passed we have expanded into other divisions in order to be able to provide our clients with the professional services, personnel, and equipment to complete a myriad of services. As a result of Bob's dedication to the industry and construction trade he was the recipient of the 2008 Home Builders Association "Excellence of Achiement Award." (link) Robert Volz, Jr., President/CFO, is the second generation helping to continue the company's vision and service to the industry. Here are some highlights of the history shared between Elbring Surveying Company and Volz Incorporated. 1969 - Volz Engineering and Surveying, Inc is formed by Robert N. Volz as a full service firm offering Civil Engineering, Land Planning, and Land Surveying.
