My husband, Jim, has been at one of the Dolan houses for six months, and we are extremely pleased. The staff have created an easy-going, friendly environment in the house he lives in, and have consistently treated Jim with kindness and respect. They have gone out of their way to help me keep Jim involved in as many of his former activities as possible, and have even welcomed his continuing to take music lessons on-site in the house. They provide truly resident-centered, individualized care. I feel very fortunate to have an organization in our area that provides cutting-edge memory care like Dolan, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a non-institutionalized model for their loved one.

My mom has been living in a Dolan home for over a year, and it has far exceeded my expectations. Dolan has provided a loving, happy environment for Mom where she continues to thrive. Moving Mom into a memory care home was such a difficult decision for my family; if we’d known how easy the transition would be for her, we might have done it sooner. The Dolan staff provided everything needed for Mom to have a smooth transition as she moved into her new home. What I most appreciate about Dolan is how they customize the care for each resident in a small home setting. The staff is perceptive about tuning into Mom’s particular habits and preferences and meeting her needs. They are kind, skilled, and a lot of fun. There is lots of laughter in Mom’s house. The staff genuinely enjoys the residents and there is a family atmosphere that continues to impress and amaze me. My mom has always loved being outdoors, and she can come and go freely into the lovely, large patio and back yard. It is secure and safe, but she can go in and out of the patio door on her own with a feeling of freedom. The house is arranged for family living and doesn’t have the “institutional” feel of other facilities. The residents watch T.V. together in the living room, eat together around a big dining room table, and enjoy lots of daily activities. Mom has made friends with other residents, and that companionship means that she is never lonely. Musicians visit the house regularly for sing-a-longs that I often attend and enjoy with Mom. The rooms are bright, cheery, and decorated like a home. Holidays are celebrated in a big way with decorations and parties that include the families of residents and staff. I am so grateful to Dolan for providing such superior care for Mom. Alzheimer’s is a difficult disease, but thanks to Dolan my family continues to enjoy happy times with Mom. I never knew that it was possible for her to be so content as she lives with this disease. I’m so grateful to Dolan for that!

When we made the difficult decision to place my mother in a residential care, our family was determined to find a facility we would all feel comfortable with. As soon as we toured Dolan Memory Care our decision was made!
The environment is a small, warm, homelike community geared towards allowing the residents to be as independent as possible. The staff helped facilitate the move by coming to my mother's home to meet her; assisting us with the logistics of the move; and most important- providing us all with compassionate emotional support at a very difficult time.
Now- a little over a year later - we are all so grateful for the kind and compassionate caregivers - and the peace of mind in knowing mom is receiving wonderful, personalized care. There are activities every day- she especially enjoys the musical performers! I would highly recommend Dolan Care Memory Homes for your loved one.

Dolan Home was an answer to prayer for our special mother. Wonderful, exceptionally caring staff. Beautiful, clean home with well kept enclosed yard. Good homecooked meals.A variety of activities, especially appropriate for the residents. All holidays and birthdays celebrated with flair. Words cannot express our gratitude enough for everyone at The Dolan Care Homes from administration down thru the staff. Our mother is safe, secure,well taken care of and most importantly loved at this time of her life.

Dolan House provides a small, caring & nurturing community for a loved one in need of specialized care for dementia. The Dolan houses are a wonderful answer to a dreadful disease.
