A cemetery needs a well-funded endowment to assure the future care of your family lot or burial place. The Catholic Cermeteries deposit 35% of your lot purchase to provide future care. This is the minimum we feel will assure the care of the cemetery far into the future.
To care for your lot, we seed and fertilize where needed, planted 8000 seedling trees-cut the grass 18-22 times and trim 7 or 8 times in the summer season which cost over $30 per grave. If less is invested than the 35% we feel that the cemetery will eventually fail to meet its obligations. The number of St. Louis cemeteries which is ample proof of the need for a good and solid Endowed Care Fund. The Catholic Cemeteries Care Fund is over $23,000,000-A testimony to the Archdiocese prudence and determination to keep its cemeteries in a reverential and respectful manner. - Garden crypts are concrete enclosures for full body entombment that are housed in beautiful buildings. They are in open air surroundings, may constructed around a central religious chapel, and are priced according to location. A niche is a small crypt for the entombment of cremated remains. A free-standing unit with niches for the burial of cremated remains. An ossuary is a beautiful place to inter cremated remains. Please consider our optional services listed below to honor your loved one. Notes: Please see Niches for another way to inter cremated remains. Lawn Crypts are in ground burial sites. Lawn crypts offer the same traditional ground burial with the exception that each grave includes a concrete outer container that has been pre-set in the ground. Traditional Burial is available with many plans and options. The type of memorial is determined by the purchaser at the time of selection. We do not offer cremation services. However, we do offer a variety of interment methods for cremated remains. Modern sarcophagi are made of granite and can be inscribed or decorated with sculpture/adornment. Sacred to the Memory memorials: Those laid to rest in the ossuary, lost at sea, bodies donated to science and other situations, may be engraved here in remembrance.
