Earlier this year I found myself in the midst of confusion and chaos; my family life had plummeted out of control. I struggled to connect with my children, and our house was full of yelling, crying, anger, hurt, and the list could go on. I sought out counseling at Agape Christian Counseling and I have been amazed at the immediate changes in my life. Agape has helped to me to grow in my walk with Christ and has brought clarity to my situation. It has been an amazing experience and I highly recommend Agape to family, friends, and co-workers.

I work at Missouri Baptist University, and counseling for students is one of the areas for which I am responsible. I met Darrell Provinse, Executive Director of Agape, two years ago, and he and his excellent staff have ministered to our students for a number of years. I have found Darrell and his team to be consistently caring, Christ centered, and committed to our students' health and well being. When one of my students is going through a hard time, I am always relieved when I hear they have connected with someone at Agape, because I know they will be talking with Licensed Professional Counselors who have been trained to understand the challenges we all face in a broken world. I also know they believe personally and will teach others how, in life's challenges, to put their hope in Jesus Christ, the ultimate healer of our hearts. Being Christians my husband and I sought a Christian counseling service for help and guidance during a difficult time in our marriage. My husband (although a Christian) is not comfortable with "Bible Thumpers" or "Scripture Pushers" and was hesitant to during our initial visit. What a blessing our experience has been however. Our counselor was very knowledgeable, intuitave and used God's word in in a nurturing and supportive way. We have had individual as well as joint sessions and found great help and healing. I went to Darrell with my husban before we got married for premarital counseling as suggested by our pastor. Darrell helped prepare us for marriage with a wide range of topics we had not even thought about talking about before marriage. It really helped to have counselor mentor us and prepare us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. We have been happily married almost five years now!

I went to see Darrell Provinse regularly for four years. I found him extremely wise and insightful. He masterfully used scriptural examples to shed light on how God encourages us to handle the trials and decisions Christians encounter. I serve as an elder at a fairly large church. We have and continue to send numerous brothers and sisters to him. Darrell also has served as a advisor to our church's leaders on challenging issues - we respect him that much. My experience with Agape Christian Counseling Service and with Darrell Province far exceeded my expectations. Mr. Province is very experienced, knowledgable, professional, personable, and his counsel is absolutely biblically sound. I highly recommend him for every counseling need, including personal, marriage, and family!

I have not seen any place more professional or caring. The therapists that my friends have seen have all been kind,compassionate, and helpful. We have dealt with both big and small issues, and I have always benefitted tremendously.

One and a half years in to our marriage, my husband and I found ourselves in a place we never thought we would be possible...we didn't even like each other! Both hurt and desperate, we consulted Agape Christian Counseling Services and began the journey to a healed marriage. Agape Christian Counseling Services had been a real blessing to me. i cannot praise God enough for the wise Godly Counsel I have received. The inerrant word of God is spoken in truth, which I love.My christian world view has been truly helped and encouraged in my healing. i recommend them highly and also encouraged family and friends to also be blessed by them. The counseling at Agape has brought me through MANY crisis situations: death of my mother, divorce, lost job, and loss of my health. 4 1/2 years ago I a friend recommended Agape Christian Counseling to me. I had sought other counselors over the years without a lot of success. The skills, the care and concern of the counselors at Agape far surpass anything else I have experienced. I have been there for individual, couples and family counseling. My children have also seen therapists there on their own. The therapists' ability to assess your situation, meet you right where you are, and then help you find solutions is outstanding. If you are searching for an effective, caring counselor, look no further. I highly recommend Agape Christian Counseling Services.

I entered into counseling at AGAPE in 2007 and little did I know that my life was about to change for the better. My communication skills and boundaries were all out of whack! I was still overly connected to my parents and trying to please them all the time, even though I am a mid-forties, married mother of 3! I have learned invaluable communication skills through the safe and encouraging environment of the counselors here at AGAPE.



If you suffer from boundary issues with people of just communicating with your spouse or child - give them a try! Just having someone to talk to does a world of good and pretty soon; you learn to change the way that you see things.



I also spent a fair amount of time getting Biblical questions answered - great resources and Bible knowledge located in this office.

In this world it is not often that one can find a place to feel safe and at peace at Agape I find that I can have both. For that hour of time I can be free to talk to open up and to trust knowing that my therapist is fully there with me, that he has my best intrest at heart. Going into counseling at Agape has been one of the best desions I have ever made. sgj

I came to Agape after moving to St. Louis from Louisiana leaving behind a nightmare of a childhood and a birth family full of problems. After living with years and years of no hope of ever finding peace within my soul. It has only with the care the leading of my therapist at Agape that I have even begun to find hope. I have been a client of Agape CCS for some time now. I find the atmosphere at Agape to be friendly and comfortable yet professional at the same time. My therapist is the best, he has helped me with many issues, never pushing too hard or too fast, consistently encouraging me to move forward. I have friends who also go to Agape (they think their therapist is the best, but I know mine is). I recommend Agape to anyone seeking counseling.
