I had a very pleasant experience helping my elderly mother purchase a Nissan Versa from Smithtown Nissan.

Our experience with Smithtown Nissan was in stark contrast to the lousy behavior of other Long Island Nissan dealers, which had even made us consider buying a different brand of car.

From the beginning, Smithtown Nissan stayed in contact with us as we worked out the terms, loan, and logistics of purchase & delivery of the car. Our salesman, John Rodriguez, made the transaction straightforward.

Ultimately, they sold the car to my mom at a very good price and we got the 0% APR financing promotion. When my mother arrived at the dealership, they were very respectful and accommodating, and even drove the car home as the car was a big change for her after having driven the previous car for 20 years.

Thanks for being there for us, Smithtown Nissan.

Horrible...verbally and physically violent owner names John. I asked to speak with the highest in the management and John presented himself as such. He called me names and physically pushed me. This took place after they didn't want to honor a lease return appointment which was scheduled and confirmed in advance. A police report was generated and Nissan corporate will be involved ASAP...worst experience of my life. Unbelievable that such people exist...real management or nissan headquarters should review dealership cameras...Tom Sweeney was also involved...as horrible as John...both are very hostile, aggressive , intimidating and dangerous...I felt scared...Joseph Urso was the person that named himself John.

Smithtown Nissan

We had the best experience with Smithtown Nissan. Our salesman, John Cerruto was amazing!!! So patient and was extremely helpful. We were looking for the Quest in white. It is very hard to find but John did not give up until he found it. Even though we live in Massapequa (close to Massapequa Nissan), it was worth the trip. We will only work with John in the future. He was HONEST and didn't give us the runaround.

I based my decision to purchase a new Nissan at Smithtown Nissan by reading dealer rater reviews. After concluding my purchase I felt compelled to leave my own review here as well. I have to say i was quite surprised as to the ease of my transaction. From the moment I walked into the store I was treated with the utmost respect, almost like family. I felt that my sales representative John Cerruto truly listened to my wants and needs. Not only did they have exactly what I was looking for, I was enlightened to features that would also truly benefit my kids and elderly grandmother. My financing went through without a hitch and to my surprise i was offered two years of maintenance free. Free! I didnt even ask for it. All in all, I absolutely LOVE my new Nissan! The staff was great and the gentleman in finance, some guy with glasses, Brian maybe? Well he was a great help to me because he was able to get me financed, even though my credit is less then perfect. And he did so at an affordable payment. If you are searching for a clean hassle free pleasant transaction, It is my personal opinion that this is the place to do it. I will be recommending all my friends and family here!

i am at the end of a lease on my altima and the salesman is constantly calling my house every other day to strike a deal..the salesman then called my husbands job and tells a lie to the secretary that he needs my husbands cell phone # and that he gave me the OK to get his number by calling his place of work. you just lost my business!

It's a shame that I actually have to give a star to this pathetic excuse of a "family-run" business. They had ordered a CD Player/ Radio system for my Nissan Altima 2008 Coupe, and when I went to get it installed (after driving an hour to get there), they told me they had sent it back (after making me wait for an hour)! The next day, I get a call saying my part is in (that fast, huh?). When I called again, they jerked me around saying it wasn't in, and the stupid receptionist I was on the phone with put me on hold while I was in the middle of my sentence! No concept of friendly service or trying to understand the frustration of a customer who has to waste gas driving down only to be sent back. Go to some other Nissan dealership and stay away from these a-holes! It was sad actually, as I was walking out the representative had the nerve to say to me: "Please give us a good review!" - God knows they need it....

If you want to get jerked around - then this is the dealership for you! Spend quality time finding a car and negotiating a deal with a nice salesperson only to sit around for 2 hours while the finance guys curse up a storm and play with their buddies telling jokes while you wait to see them to seal the deal. (Did I mention there was no one in the dealership but us buying a car, but we still had to wait?!) Once you get called in to see finance guy - he will try to upcharge you $3000 and try to justify it by insulting you and asking you if you really understand the leasting process! After 40 minutes of discussion and a contract change later (oh, by the way...the correct contract was on a desk upstairs that they picked up after we refused the $3000 upcharge - funny how it was right there all along!)...I drove off in my new car. When I received my papers from Nissan corporate - the lease mileage was wrong - and 2 months later, it has not been changed. The car is great - the dealership, not so much! Skip this dealership and find one that doesn't try to make a few bucks on the side by trying to con the buyer!!!
