After a visit to the emergency room I was advised to seek a primary care physician to sort out a number of serious conditions. Dr. Mciff was one name given to me that was on my insurance plan and accepting new patients. On 4/17/2018 I called Dr. Mciffs office at the Sunset Clinic to make an appointment. I was told that it would take five days to determine if I would be accepted as a new patient and they would call me back. I questioned this process but decided to wait. After two weeks of waiting and three follow up calls I made to the office I was told the Dr. Mciff was now not accepting new patients. When I asked the woman on the phone why they just wasted two weeks of my time waiting for nothing she just gave me the “oh well” attitude. With every phone call to this office their attitude was curt and without empathy. I would probably have been waiting forever if I had not followed up myself. What kind of policy is this? Why did it take two weeks and my constant prodding for them to tell me accept me as a patient. I asked if another Dr. is available and was told that they all have the same intake process. I guess they wanted me to go through the same thing with every Dr., this is a ridicules policy. I could be dead before I actually ever see a Dr.. Obviously I will be better off without Dr. Mciff and the staff at the Sunset Clinic.
