Had to pay for a prescription! I called before going in and my insurance was approved for an exam and eye glass prescription. After taking my co-pay and starting the exam more paperwork was presented requiring an additional $35 non-refundable fee "just in case" the insurance did not cover the exam need for prescriptions. I felt this was a bait and switch like at a cheap used car lot. Everything was approved and done but I could not get my prescription without paying extra. My prescription was held hostage! I have never heard of a doctor doing an exam and then charging for the prescription. Even without using insurance I could have gone anyplace else in town and paid less for an exam and prescription.

After talking with the office manager the prescription was mailed to me. The medical care was good. If you go in please be sure that all your paperwork and insurance questions are answered and you understand them before anything is done.
