Stopped in for some general information as I was unclear what route I wanted to go with replacing my carpet and needed guidance. I was looking for some comparisons in the most general terms and the gal asked if I had a budget and the truth is I don't have a set budget but I do need new flooring and am ready to buy. I was more or less told they have to come out to the house to give any type of estimate and I "could do the math". Not helpful at all.

Left this place and drove down the road to a different local company. They were more than willing to give me rough range estimates based on the dimensions I have for my two rooms. They gave a quick rundown on carpet vs. laminate vs. hardwood vs. vinyl plank in different ranges of quality. I spent less than 10 minutes at the second place and they guided me to where I feel like I can make an informed decision.

Needless to say, the people at my second stop are getting the call to do the measurements.

I have seen many renovations handled by Florida Decorating Centers and they do quality work, on time and on budget. Their showroom offers many idea generators.
