Have been tanning here close to 20 yrs. Always excellent.

Always very nice people working there. Place is very clean and warm.

Two days ago was my first visit to this salon and I will say that I was blown away! From the appearance and cleanliness to the variety of beds to the prices and affordability to my favorite part - the customer service.

I was greeted and helped by Chris. He was hands down one of the friendliest and really informative employees I've ever came across in a tanning salon. He was not pushy and just looking at dollar signs. He was not rushing me as if I was not important. He didn't just assume that I knew about every bed and what it actually did for my skin. He took the time to talk to me in detail and he was beyond genuine in his conversation. Even though people were coming and going while I was up front with him, he still assisted every single person. He said goodbye and complimented customers as they left and he excused himself from me momentarily while he got customers setup for this tanning visits. I was amazed. You'd think this is common (GREAT service) but it sure isn't these days. Based on the service alone, they forever have a loyal customer. Hats off to Chris for being a genuinely great guy and taking the time to take me through the entire place.

People are quick to give nasty, negative reviews; however, when it comes to phenomenal experiences, they get brushed to the side like they aren't just as important. Because people took the time to review this business is exactly what brought me in to check it out in the first place.

Total Tan is, by far, the best place to tan in all of Metro-Detroit. I began going to Total Tan about a year ago, and I have never had such a deep and lasting tan in the 23 years that I have been tanning. Not only do I get exceptional results, Total Tan is spotless. Add to this the EXCELLENT customer service that I receive there, and I would never go anywhere else. The owners, Mark and Shelly make you feel so welcome and are quick to do whatever it takes to make your experience the best it can possibly be; they are informed and they care about their customers. it isn't just about dollars and cents with them. So if you are looking for a place to tan, whether it be in state of the art beds and stand ups, or for a fabulous spray tan, look no further then Total Tan!

First of all, the previous commenter must have been hallucinating when he encountered the "garbage full of pee" tanning salon! Haha, what the heck??

As a new resident of GP & recently moved from Chicago... this tanner is the ONLY place worth your time & money! You get a perfect tan super quick, they always have deals, it's beautifully kept, and did I mention how awesome the tanning beds are? Their Level 1 is as good as most salons upgraded beds. It's beyond worth it. Staff is awesome, and duh- every salon let's you know about their current deals, mr. angry commenter! :P

P.s. it's not thatttt expensive, you can go every other day for a month for $25. You don't need more than that with this place anyways! Give it a whirl :)
