This is by far the number 1 bmw repair shop in Sacramento and, probably, northern California. I have taken my 1989 bmw 525i there for over 9 years and they have consistently been the lowest price shop plus they are more knowledgeable than the dealer on most items. I have had some horrendous experience with other repair shops in the past, so I know how hard it is to find a good, honest mechanic. This is the place. In fact, I recently purchase a 2003 745i in part because I knew that when the warranty runs out I will need a good shop and Stuart Krum is a known quantity. Highly recommended.

You guys are awesome! I brought Lily my 2005 BMW 325i e46 in. I had previously called and told them over the phone that the car had, slowly began to have a squealing sound. But the other day when I started it, it sounded terrible screeching like crazy. I quickly called around to the dealerships who were nothing but rude and no help. I decided to call Shatz and Krum who worked on the car previously with the last owner. I described the problem and they even listened over the phone, they knew exactly what it was and how much it would be to fix. I could not how ever decide if I wanted to chance it by towing it in or not. It was an hour before closing and in rush hour traffic. I told the guys I was on my way, they even offered to stay late to take the car in if needed!!!!! Wasn't needed after all but still! I was originally quoted around $470-$490 out the door. Very very reasonable for the job and competitors pricing Niello 1k and Roseville $700 for the same job. I ended up being out the door at $426 AWESOME!
When they do there inspection they are EXTREMELY HONEST about it. And this is coming from a guy who has been messed with by dealers before. They said the from brakes were going to need to be replaced, and I was expecting that. They also mentioned 2 almost leaks that are very minor that need to be known of but should not in any way be worried about at the moment! They are honest real nice people. Coming from someone who usually works on his own car I would with out a doubt go back. They also have collision repair which I will use if ever needed. Joe is who I worked with the whole time. I could not ask for a better experience!

The only reason why I know about this place is because my brother used to be a mechanic for them .. but once i got the word around to my fellow Euro car owners, they always said "yeahh, i heard about that place! so they're good, huh??" The reason why they're so good is because Stuart (the head honcho over there) used to BUILD racing cars and has the skills of a mastermind, seriously .. my first car was a 1986 BMW 528e and this shop was 1 of 2 shops that could ever figure out what was wrong with my car and fix it RIGHT. the 2nd shop i know of is in Berkeley, CA.

but anyway .. i've been faithful to them since i had the car (back in 2001) and can't imagine going anywhere else if you have a Euro Import ..

There is no shop better than Schatz & Krum, significantly better than the BMW dealer in quality, skill, price and service. Where else would the owner of a large shop personally drive to you when your car is ready to be picked up? That just happened yesterday. Like many, I have had an inherent mistrust of mechanics in general, but even on my very first visit I could tell that Stuart and his team were different. Fifteen years later, I can tell you that Schatz & Krum have never once disappointed me. Always fair and looking for ways to solve the problem and get the car back on the road in the most economical manner. Most importantly, they know BMWs and Porsche's inside and out and have several times solved problems that no one else could. On top of everything else, very smart individuals with great senses of humor. Wish they worked on other makes, because when I have to take my Ford F150 to other shops the service and pricing just pales in comparison.

I bought my first BMW this year its older so I needed to find a good place to maintain it, I looked on yelp for BMW repair Sacramento and found this shop. They had good reviews, I called made and appointment and dropped my car off. I was so happy to get my car back so fas tand they solved my problem and fixed it for less then they quoted me. As long as I own a BMW I will bring my car to this shop. If you own a BMW don't try and be cheap and take it to someplace that doesn't specialize in BMW's I tried that before I brought my car here and it was a big mistake! Shatz and Krum fixed my car and was not that much more money. They know what they are doing here!

Shatz and krum is the one shop I trust to work on my bimmer here in sacramento. Staff are very professional and honest, good quality of service, they know what they're doing. I brought my m3 5 years ago with a bad head and got it back on the road, and now they've worked on my 325i with missed fire on one cylinder, coolant leak (came out i just had a loose plug). They fixed the ratteling noise under my car with just paying the price of the part and didn't charge me anything for labor (said it only took them 5 mins to bolt on), very straight forward, no BS

Thanks for bringing the joy back to driving my MINI!! I recently took my 2006 MINI cooper in to have a noise issue looked at. turns out the transmission had a bad bearing (covered under extended warranty) while they were in the process of doing the transmission I had them do all other recommended work while the transmission was out. new clutch, water pump, rear main seal...... Anyway since the transmission was covered the additional work was performed at an extremely reasonable price since most of it had to be removed anyway. Upon receiving my car back, I noticed a noise which I though was the original noise I had taken it in for. I took the car back and was in a disagreement with the mechanic who performed the work, I was 100% positive it was the same noise, he was certain it was not. I left the car overnight and was called the next day with the diagnosis, turns out I was wrong. It was another noise entirely but being the professionals they are, they made the repair and charged me for parts only. I am completely satisfied with their customer service and professionalism and would highly recommend this shop to anyone with a BMW, MINI, or Porsche.

Excellent shop for Porsche and BMW service! I have had both of my cars worked on here and they have always treated me with absolute professionalism and their prices are far better than the dealer.

Just serviced my 04 Mini Cooper S. I had a leaky oil pan, gasket head, cracked internal CV boots and a broken window regulator. The folks there are friendly and professional. They really know their BMWs, Porches and MINIs. Prices are fair and service is solid. I'm definitely making SCHATZ n KRUM my primary mechanic.

I have to say Schatz & Krum has always proven to be one of the most honest and reliable sources I've had for my BMW. They've taking care of numerous things over the last couple of years and compared to Roseville BMW and other auto shops at half the cost. I trust when they say it's needs to be taken care of, it really does.
Thank you guys !!

Professional staff, fantastic service. I have taken my BMW in to several Sacramento-Area shops, and Schatz & Krum is hands-down the best. They are efficient, reasonably priced, and stand by their work. Couldn't be happier!
