I couldn't agree more with all the negative comments about this shop, on many review sites. After multiple visits three strikes your out. I was baited by the yellow card, you know the one. Every time it was, you need a brake fluid and power steering flush. One time a transmission flush. I am now at a reputable honest repair shop where the engine of my pickup is being changed out. I should of continued changing the oil myself like I always did instead of trusting dishonest Ted. The only reason I used him was because it was cheaper than doing myself, now I am paying for it. I have been maintaining and repairing my own vehicles since high school and have never lost an engine. Get the word out and do not use Tilden in Royal Palm Beach. A little birdie at Tilden told me to go to Palmis Goodyear, very trustworthy people. It costs a lot these days to get your vehicle fixed, so if you cant do the work yourself go somewhere you can trust.

Told the car was ready for pick up, this happened 8 times, and while waiting witnessed the owner giving parts to a friend to sell at the auto swap meet. It seemed these parts were being removed from the cars being serviced and replaced with lesser unoriginal parts. They damaged the transmission while repairing an oil leak that after 8 days of keeping the car, they still had not fixed correctly. They damaged several other pieces of the car. They brought in a "friend" of the owner, not a certified mechanic that was employed anywhere, to work on the cars there. The reason given was that they were not able to hire any good mechanics to work for them. They refuse to honor quotes, and perform work without your permission or proper paper work. The owner of the Tilden name in NY claims to be in legal proceedings to remove this shop from using the Tilden name. The NY office cannot help with money this shop charges without fixing the problem. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Tilden.

I have been a customer at Brake World for several years. It's hard to find trustworthy mechanics. In the past, I have taken my car for repairs, thinking I know what is wrong, and they fix what I tell them; I assume what they fixed needed to be fixed. On many occasions, the repair was minor; sometimes on the house. I am always please with the service and the Owners are very friendly.
