I contacted contractor doctor on Monday before thanksgiving and informed the owner that i needed to move in on the Monday after thanksgiving and was wanting to paint the inside of fairly new house I bought. The owner JD informed me that he had some people that were needing to work that week & he could do the job no problem. I gave him half the money which was $1125.00. Tuesday a painter showed up & the first comment he made was that it's going to take him at least a week to paint the inside of house. Around 10:00 a helper showed up to help. These guys took a smoke break every hour on the hour. That's along with a mid morning break, lunch break, & mid afternoon break and left at 3:00. Wednesday nothing& wont answer the phone. I didn't call on thanksgiving. Friday nothing and won't answer my calls so on Saturday i called in family for reinforcement. Got it painted with me and two brothers in 2 days. Still no answer from JD with contractor doctor. I found a few other reviews after the fact. If you would like to check those out they are on ripoff report and yahoo. Do not call these people. They will rip you off. There is two owners. One is named JD & the other is Bill Marshall.
If Bill or JD is reading this. You guys are prime example of a bad contractor. I hope both you guys end up in Hell.

The Contractor Doctor is the least professional construction outfit I have ever worked with. They will take your money and destroy your house. Their subcontractors are OK, but The Contractor Doctor provides no oversight so everything will be done the easiest way possible, not the correct way. (Nails instead of screws, no vapor barriers, no insulation in walls, nothing perfectly straight, plumb or square, etc.)

Bill Martin sounds like a good person when you speak to him, but he and JD Scott are running a scam. They will take your money and screw you over. Two weeks into the project, this general contractor has still never ONCE met with me to review the project details. He just sends subs that you will have to manage yourself. Steer clear and just hire subcontractors yourself. Hiring The Contractor Doctors was the biggest financial mistake of my life.

It's been three days since they stopped calling, stopped sending workers. They have my 50% deposit and have done no where near half the work. They just made a mess, took my money and left me in a lurch.
