will be moving to the Round Rock area in the Fall and I have been trying to find a center for my 2 year old daughter. I have called a few other centers and I have not been to impressed with the customer service. When I called Hatch House I spoke to the Director, she was incredibly helpful.. This is my first child and she has never attended a childcare center and we are moving to Texas, so I want this to be as smooth as possible for my family. The Director was respectful of my feelings and answered every question that I had (I HAD ALOT). I can't wait to see the center.

Our experience with Hatch House School in Round Rock was disappointing. The new facility is very nice and has many amenities we preferred over our previous school. However due to the school's short comings of being able to get the volume they expected classes are combined, the curriculum expected is being altered to fit the blended class needs (like a Montessori school). I did not sign up for a Montessori school; I enrolled my child for a set program. As for their after school care program (up to ages 12), this is currently nonexistent but they will offer school pickup however, these children will be put in with the Pre K Class (ages 4 & 5) when they are picked up from school. When my child began to struggle & have difficulties I feel from this structure (she was use to a much more structured school by age group, with a set schedule). When I questioned what the school was doing, their response was to take the defensive and recommend that if Hatch House was not a good fit, that my husband and I may be better off finding another home for our child. This put the nail in their coffin in my mind. If you are not interested in my child's success and development why am I paying a premium for your school and care. I would not recommend this school to anyone of my friends, coworkers or relatives.
