Centennial High School had their play last night so we thought we would go to this restaurant, which is close by. The food was as good as any Mexican restaurant. The marguaritas were delicious. No complaints at all about the food. However, I had a coupon special sold by Centennial students. Monterrey was one of the coupon sponsors on this card for a free cheese dip. I am more than able to pay $5.50 for a little dish of cheese, but they would not honor this promotion as it does not allow coupons on a Friday night. I thought this would be different than the coupons you get in the mail, because it was supporting the school. We were in there at 5:00, which was more empty at that time than a week night. The dish of cheese did not even cost them a dollar, but they still charged me the $5.50 because of their rules I think they made a fool of themselves for a $1.00. If you're going to sponsor a cause, DO IT RIGHT !!!!!!!!! I will let Centennial know and tell them to be more particular who they get in the future to sponsor them.

A friend and II had the most horrible experience- the food was mediocre at best (as usual) but the service was the WORST. sat us in a draft, never came back (we had to beg a busboy for napkins, more tea and chips- which never came, I grabbed tea and napkins myself) but the scary thing was when the bill came I tipped a dollar- the 'waiter' SLAMMED the book closed so loud my companion jumped (he didn't see the sound coming) and then the 'waiter' sat at the waiters table and glared/bitched/cursed at us the whole time. We couldn't understand what he was saying but the face/hand gestures left nothing to the imagination to the point I wondered if he might slash my tires.



I am afraid to ever eat here again for fear of what might be done to my food. (bleach in the salsa? hair? metal)



Fronterra Tex Mex grill is not to far away and their roasted salsa is AMAZING. thanks for helping me find a better restaurant.

This is a great restaurant with excellent mexican food. The chimichanga and fajitas are outstanding as well as the cheese dip (queso). The prices are low, so we go often. It is a family friendly place with great staff.
