I had contacted X-Press Contracting. LLC to come view my property and give me an estimate on a full renovation. First they sent out an Michael, who was unfamiliar with the type of rehab I was doing but tried to take notes and ask questions. He seemed to have an overall pleasant demeanor. Due to Michael's inexperience, Robb had to come out an view the property a few days later. Robb was supposed to be the expert on the type of renovation I was doing. Robb showed up 30 minutes late for my appointment, did not call or text to inform me that he would not be on time. The meeting was good and Robb did seem to be knowledgable. I asked him about the use of subs and he said that subs do all the work for him. I asked if he would be open to working with a sub that I had already hired and he said that he would. He explained to me that the company also offers Project Management services, so that I could use them as that instead of the full General Contractor. Robb then told me to expect an estimate by Wednesday of the next week, we met on a Friday.

I wrote them an email a week after failing to receive the estimate on the Wednesday it was promised and was told that the only was they would work on my project was if they were the GC and used only their subs. Obviously this was different than what I was told in the meeting but I wanted to see the price that would be quoted to me. I agreed and asked for them to send me the estimate, which I still have not received.

I would be leery of hiring them due to misleading claims. The refusal to work with other contractors is also concerning. I have a family member who does similar work and he said to never work with a GC who refuses to work with subs that aren't theirs, that is a huge red flag. Everyone is allowed their preference but that typically means the person/company is shady. I also had to chase them down to get any information on the estimate, so if hired I would probably have to chase them to do the work.

Tinos is a great man who spent much time helping me out. He went out of his way to make sure i was well taken care of. Not only is this company great but there isn't anything i wouldn't do for this guy. He has put a lot out there for me and i can say that this is one guy i would trust over and over again. Top of the line company from start to finish. We had a great start with an estimate that was reasonable and on time all the way through a clean and productive finish. We recommend them to all those who want to save headaches in the contractor field. I call it the stress free X-press Contractors!!!

Unprofessional, rude, no replies to voice mail/no returned calls. Don't waste your time and energy! I called again just today after waiting a few months - hoping they wouldn't be so busy. Call went right through, and I asked the man who answered whether or not I had reached X-press painting and contracting and he said NO! After double checking the number I dialed with the one on the voucher and the same one in their website,I called Living Social and they said they would process a refund.....
