Roseburg VA and Mercy Hospitals

I am happy to say I resolved my issues and fears with both hospitals. In October 1983 I departed from the area. First to David Panama, then Alejuela Costa Rica, Manta Ecuador and back to Panama. About a month ago I moved to Managua Nicaragua. I have never been happier and healthier in my life nor enjoyed more freedom. I really had never again fit in in the US after returning from Vietnam in 1967. And seems I was the only one who evervservedvthere who wasn't in combat ora hero.

But now I am safely away from the medical malpractice that killed all six of my friends. Knowing I am far far away and living in a safe environment. This or another country may also be your best choice. On getting my complete VA medical records I found there were many lies told by people I had not even met. Setting into motion events. And it all started in 2006. Prior to tat I had high regards for care at the Roseburg VA. And I had no previous contact with Mercy myself.

I moved here from Arizona in 1...

I moved here from Arizona in 1992 just because this was such a great hospital. I had two very successful cateract surgeries restoring my eyesight to 20/15 and 20/20 at all distances. I also had a vascetomy and I have had haircuts that were more painful.

But something has happened here and it's not good. Since about 1998, the entire staff as well as volunteers have been becoming increasingly rude. Ad anything short of a surgeon, the Women's Coordinator, Patient Advocate, Eligibility Officer and Jon Eastwood, I have found to be totally incompetent for the past 4 years. I find it really unnerving when I know more about a medical condition than any of the emergency room doctors.

I sure wish Portland wasn't so far as no one there has been rude to me in 19 years. Other than one incompetent Doctor of Anesthesia this past May, who incidently I did not allow to have practice on me, and an incompetent never study doctor who reported the two previous nerve study doctors previous didn't know what they were doing, the entire staff has been outstanding. Sure wish I never met that screwball nerve technician. His report screwed up what was happening to my ulnar nerve right up to that event in May of this year. The condition could have been prevented. The surgery was canceled because they couldn't locate the instrument tray. Just as well as the condition miraculously self healed and there was more than a 1600% improvement in my ulnar nerve function. Which I am told is medically impossible to have happened.

Should I have a heart attack or stroke, I will still be driving to the Portland VA if I can. If not, I'm as good as dead, as Mercy Hospital is even worse.
