I was married on March 21 2014 and did not want to purchase a Tuxedo since I knew that I was going to gain at least 10 pounds the first week after the wedding so I decided that renting a tuxedo was the best possible option. The other issue I had was that my 5 groomsmen were my uncles from Ireland and they were arriving two days before the wedding so making sure I could find a place with a fast service was just as important as the price. I looked at many places on Long Island but either they charged more for the quick measuring service for my uncles or they wanted to charge me an arm and leg for something I would only wear for one day. I came across "Advance Formal Wear" on my ride home from work and thought I would check it out. Not only were the prices fair, he said he had no issues measuring my groomsmen 48 hours before the wedding. I was so impressed by the customer service that this is my first review ever on the internet. Suits are classy, price is very affordable

I needed a tuxedo last minute and Men's Warehouse couldn't help me. It took about 10 minutes for Advance Formal Wear to size me and fit me with a tux. They were extremely professional and I would recommend them to anyone. The store is small, but the help is fantastic and the tuxedos fit great.

A great place to rent a tuxedo. Expert measurements and a wide variety of styles to choose from.. This is coupled with the very professional attitude of Brian, one of the owners. You won't be disappointed if rent or buy from Advance Formal Wear. I intend to return for my next formal event.

Advance Formal Wear is a Staple Tuxedo store in Rockville Centre. Walked in with my fiance in Nov. 2010 and was helped by a very knowledgeable and courteous gent named Brian. Not sure if Brian was the owner but he sure proved he cared for the business as if he was. Brian fit my fiance in multiple tuxedos until I fell in love with the perfect Joseph Abboud 2 button. It seems that they have everything in stock. Advance Formal Wear was easily the most pleasant part in planning our wedding. All 8 of our groomsman, 2 dads and 1 ring bearer were fitted perfectly and looked extremely dapper. I highly recommend visiting Brian at Advance for your tuxedo needs.
