We've been in our Sable Home for just over a year now. We love it! Sable was very accommodating with the changes I wanted when the home was built, follow-up was great and the house was finished as scheduled. Thanks so much for our beautiful home!

Chris, my husband and I wanted to thank you for all of your help in the design and purchase of our new home! It is absolutely beautiful and we can’t thank you enough for everything. Every time we drive in to our driveway, we say the same thing, “Love It!” You were always available to help (even after normal business hours) and answer our questions, and you really made this process so easy. Having worked with two other builders in the past, we were a little apprehensive about the construction process, but Sable Homes (and you of course) made this whole process so easy, we were completely blown away. From the design and color of the exterior, to the floor plan and interior design options, they were top notch and absolutely beautiful. To quote my husband, John “Sable knows what works and they stick to it.” Sable is a well-oiled machine and everything went so smoothly! And, our home was finished on the date promised, which NEVER happens with new construction. We are so glad that you came out to meet us on that cold weekend in February! Again, thanks so much, Chris Anderson and Sable Homes!

NEVER BUY SABLE. SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!! They will sell you everything but the kitchen sink but if you know anything about construction, then they do so much wrong. and if you catch them which is not that hard to do. They will never answer your questions in a timely manner or at all. They are a joke and John Bitley is a liar and doesnt care about anything but himself and his dollar. Their superintendents are a joke as well. They dont do walk throughs with their clients. so we had to do them. And if you found something then they will just take the tape off and not fix it.

I didnt use their realtor so Sable already didnt like me. John Bitley told my realtor that "your client quality is different then our quality."

They are a joke and PLEASE for your sake. dont use SABLE! so many headaches!

Cant rate zero stars otherwise I would

If I could give Sable Homes zero stars I would!! Cheapest piece of construction ever owned in my 37 years of home owning!! They sell u, (winter for us) and then they are done!! Lived I our house
(new build) for less than 7 years! They did a huge amount of earth and tree removal behind our house, and I watched my house slowing start falling apart! Cupboards pulling away from walls, sides and ceilings, cabinets in bathrooms completely of walls, tub pulling away from walls and floor, cracks in several walls, not to mention the improperly hung vinyl siding completely blew off our house in that wind storm Feb. 26,2016! Discontinued siding and different size has made it impossible to match. To top it off they just found a busted floor joist in the room off the garage, coincidentally the same room that shares the outside wall where the siding blew off! Fighting with everyone now because Sable Builders (John Bitely) said its not his problem or responsibility! RUN the other direction fast

I purchased a Sable home new and at the time I thought I was getting a steal of a deal, then you realize why there so cheap. Everything is garbage, everything is poorly done. My PVC pipe had a huge cut in it done at the time of installation right above the sump pump in the crock so my pump kept pumping and burned up flooding my finished basement in the process. Sable homes would not help or claim responsibility.
They also plumbed in the basement for the future bath incorrectly, so when we finished the bath a couple years later we had to break up the concrete and plumb it correctly, again, went to sable and no help.
They scheduled a date to come and do final grading on my lawn BEFORE we closed, after closing they canceled and told me they just weren't going to do it and left with with a yard that had dozen tracks 2 feet deep and stumps and was completely destroyed not to mention graded incorrectly toward the house. I have so many more examples but they only allow 1000 characters.

We moved into our new Sable Home in February 2016 and couldn’t be happier with entire process from start to finish. The realtors (Bob & Chris) were extremely knowledgeable about the details and options available for each model home offered, which really helped make the decision process of which one was right for us much easier. Bob & Chris were there throughout the whole process, regularly checking in on the house during the construction phase and updating us with what was going on. Sable did an amazing job making what we wanted work on the property we chose to build on. There were several changes we wanted to make to the standard design/layout of the house and Sable accommodated these changes without any problems.
We had heard one of the most difficult parts of building a new home was picking out the options (paint, carpet, cupboards, flooring, siding, etc…), the courteous staff at Sable made the process very simple. Although there was a very large selection of standard options available (colors, designs, materials) the staff at Sable tried to understand what we really wanted in our home to help narrow down the options to only three or four.
The construction of the home is great, there were a few minor issues at the beginning, but Sable fixed had them fixed right away. This is a great energy efficient home and the lower energy bills have been great!
We have been in our house for almost 8 months now and everything is going great. Our friends and family always compliment on the layout, options, and great construction of the home. Sable was an exceptional company to work with and I look forward to living in my Sable home for many years to come. Thanks so much!! Eric

Chris was wonderful to work with. She was always available when we needed to ask a question. I picked Sable on how the model looked and how Chris described the construction to me. Of how energy efficient the home was. The siding color and the stone made the home so wonderful. The granite on the island and kitchen counter top with the back_splash are just beautiful. They are eye catching when you enter the home. The archways in the dining room made it separate but very open to the rest of the house. There is lots of storage space in the basement plus the partial finished area for whatever you choose to do with it. Another Happy new home owner!

I absolutely love Sable Homes. I think their design center is awesome. They walk you thru the whole building process and they are there every step of the way if you have questions. I could not be happier with their process or the excellent homes they build.

Never again

I live in a sable home that has had nothing but problems since I purchased it. No one seems to care at sable homes about fixing their less than subpar building. I have lived in new homes before and had small issues, this one has had nothing BUT issues. You should be ashamed of your business practices and shoddy building!

AWFUL!

While looking at several houses and floor plans sable seemed the way to go because of a floor plan we particularly liked. We initiated contact and was soon in touch with one of their salespeople Sharon. We asked several questions but got few answers then thought she may have answers upon our meeting at one of the show houses. We met and she could not even guesstimate some of the questions we had asked her previously. she "took note" of some of our questions but never responded to them fully. we had to ask several times each question individually before getting a response. she would reply to our emails but avoided answering our questions.

we worked with a realtor who got us a meeting with Ron (the manager) and again, being first time home buyers and never have built a home before we brought several questions regarding, policies, procedures, materials, etc... both Sharon and Ron acted as if no one ever has had the nerve to be so meticulous and acted offended that we were inquiring. we still have questions that have gone unanswered.

we loved the floor plan and were mostly comfortable with the price and wanted to move forward but had a few things to work out as far as options with offers go. (deciding on whether we wanted underground sprinkling, framed windows, framed mirrors, etc...aka-small things that we were adding into the offer at costs we were told by sable). we organized our offer with our final questions and got a response from Sharon saying she wasn't able to answer any of the questions and that Ron was out of town for "perhaps 10 days".

we patiently waited two weeks and was never contacted by sable. we finally asked our realtor to inquire with sable. They said the prices in lumbar will be going up and to get our official offer in asap and they would honor the agreed upon price. 2 days later our official offer was into sable. 2 days after that we got a response from Ron saying he spoke with the owner and "Unfortunately, the opportunity to make this deal work has passed." if we wanted that same house it would be 25k more than originally agreed upon.

no counter offer, no negotiating, just-"Unfortunately, the opportunity to make this deal work has passed." unless you want to pay 25k more. Although none of the other-to be built- houses listed online were raised in price at all.

we were offended and appalled at the fact that if we had the offer in sooner we could of had the house we wanted, we waited over 2 weeks for communication back and heard nothing until we inquired. Their manager was gone for 2 weeks and we missed out on the house we wanted because their salesperson couldn't answer simple questions.

the professionalism for this company is beyond lax, and the new social norms are probably outside their realm of understanding. we feel we were discriminated against and they simply did not wish to work with us any longer. They will not be receiving our business and therefore missed out on a 250k house we are now going to build with someone else.

they get 1 star out of 5 because 0 isnt an option.

Sable claims their houses are ...

Sable claims their houses are energy efficient and green. That's the largest lie ever. If you ask about how much it will cost to heat a home they say it varies, but assure you the houses are energy efficient. Do yourself a favor, talk to anyone that owns a Sable Home. Guarantee they'll tell you they pay a ridiculous cost in heating no matter if it's summer or winter. In the winter we paid over $400 a month for a propane bill on top of the ridiculously high rent payment.

I wouldn't ever tell anyone to rent or consider purchasing a cheap home made by Sable Homes.

Cheap houses. Eves with no ov...

Cheap houses. No overhangs. No outside lights. Really how much does it cost to add outside lights. Ower John real jerk. People identify Sable homes as cheap when the name is mentioned. Look over homes closely not to see features that homes have, but to see what is missing.
