Since this company has been in...

Since this company has been in their present location I have purchased 3 trailers from them (the correct tool for every job is my motto) and have been very, very, pleased with their service and products. I have complete trust in them and give them carte blanche with my wallet when it comes to repairs. I know from past experience that if Rhonda or her crew says I need something then I know I need something and it will be repaired correctly and at a reasonable price.

I have even been surprised when I paid for some work that it was much less than I expected. I once had a trailer that my goats ate ALL of the wiring overnight and when I picked it up the invoice was half of what I expected. I would not have rewired that trailer for what they charged me.

Recently I found I had the need for a shelter for some livestock. While there is a sales facility for another brand within a quarter mile of my ranch I chose Carolina Trailer as my supplier because I know they would not represent an inferior product and everything would go seemlessly and guess what - it did.

The poster that had an issue with this company probably did have a bad experience but I know that I wouldn't want to be on the edge of the road with a failed bearing on any of my trailers. If he/she thinks what they charged was costly then they should think of what it would cost to have a new axle, hub AND bearings installed along the side of the road as well as chase down the tire and wheel that probably took off down the road when the bearings seized up. Think of your liabilty. Take it from one who knows. That situation is costly and frustrating. Regardless, if the bearings fall apart when the unit is disassembled then how is Carolina Trailer supposed to put it back together? Did he/she plan on going out and buying the parts and having them put them in? Does he/she bring their own eggs to a restaurant to ccok for breakfast?
They didn't wait too long to have the bearins serviced - the trailer owner did!

These are good, trustworthy, professional people and I enjoy doing business with them. However, my wife won't let me go there alone anymore for fear I might buy another trailer to add to my collection of eleven.

I brought my trailer in to be ...

I brought my trailer in to be repaired and asked the owner the cost to repair and it was $65.00 so I said go ahead and do it. This was on a Wednesday and on the following Monday I called to see if it was ready and they told me no because there service guy walked out on them. OK......then when will my trailer be ready? They said Tuesday because they had a back log now.....not happy. Well Tuesday came and nobody called me again so I called them back and then told me that the trailer will be ready on friday. Not happy again. During all this time nobody contacted me at all I had to contact them. So I called again around 1:00 pm and they checked to see if the trailer was ready.....finally the trailer is ready. I went to pick it up at 2:00 pm and got the bill for $137.92 and the place was full of customers so I figured I would call later to speak to the owner and she said you wanted it fixed didn't you....and I said well not for what you did it for because I would of done it myself for that price. When I confronted her on the price and why I was not called she danced around the answer trying to make it out that it was my fault. So beware of this place and go somewhere else.

Our hourly labor rate is $75.00 but understood you could have honestly thought we said $65.00 so let get that out of the way, for we honored the $65.00 per hour. You brought your trailer in for us to check the bearings and grease them. Once we took your hub off, the bearings actually fell apart. You fail to mention that in your complaint. Therefore in order to fix your trailer, we had to replace a hub AND when you came in, we actually had the old hub ready for your review. There was no way we could have put back on the old hub if we had too. We fixed your trailer right. If your trailer had not been repair, you could have hurt someone sometime down the road. It's always the innocent that get hurt due to the neglogence of an owner not maintaning their equipment. That sir, should an incident had happen would have been more than your invoice. Anyone would agree, a service center charges "labor" rates plus "parts". I don't dance around sir, we do our best for all our customers and you got what you paid for... with a smile
