I used to use MW, a local medical supply store for our main purchase of wheel chairs, electric sofa chair, electric bed, and other home care items. However, what made a huge difference in our life was Jon Adsitt, who is a Service Technician at Westside Medical Supply. He was informative, straight, forthcoming, understanding/kind, and solved so many of our problems that we had with the products purchased from MW. I regret that I did not go to Westside Medical Supply in the first place. I am a RN and have PhD in nursing. I know something about home care and how it should look like. I highly, highly recommend Westside Medical. You might have many problems and frustration when you have serious needs for home care, BUT you have to know which sales person 'sounds' great, vs who does the honest job with great after care. With the average purchase experience and terrible and expensive after care, including telling me that the sudden dangerous drop of an electric sofa foot rest is "normal", I will never go back or recommend MW for your medical supply. Westside Medical Supply meets my high standard.

If there was a ten star the helpful staff here would get it! ����Incredibly helpful and make all the work they do seem effortless and it's not! With dealing with insurance and all that goes into what they do they go over and above ! Smart fast and efficient ! They are kind and understanding. After looking at other stores for a power wheelchair for my Mom, I was thrilled to find Westside. We worked with Eric who was friendly, very knowledgeable & efficient. He was able to work with the PT, Dr. & insurance Co to get my Mom the perfect chair for her needs. He delivered it to her house & made adjustments & was patient with helping her operate the new wheelchair. Our family couldn'the be more pleased with the service we received.

Nice and very helpful peoples. After 3 months with fonte waiting for my compretion stockings for no use. I went to the westside and got my stockings in less than half hour. Hard working people know thier job. Thank you.

My experience with Westside has been totally positive. Ed Nettnin worked cooperatively with my physical therapist in handling the paperwork required to get approval for a wheelchair and a stander. He personally delivered both mobility devices, instructed me on how to use them, and was equally helpful in arranging service when repairs were needed.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. The owner's brother, Ed Nettnin, does not do his job. He has lied to us on numerous occasions. He fails to show for appointments. We have been trying to get my son a new wheelchair for almost a year. He didn't follow through with the needed paperwork so we are starting from scratch. He has left my son in a broken. unsafe, uncomfortable wheelchair for way too long. After speaking with the owner, Ron Nettnin, nothing has been resolved. We are switching companies and contacting the BBB. I don't know how they can sleep at night.

Initial equipment and help good. Needed a repair, this was a disaster. Waited months, kept calling. They cancelled service appoinment when we finally had one. Rescheduled. Service techs who came didn't have a clue what they were doing, tried to do repair, wrecked something else in the meantime. Left someone with severe disability with non-functioning equipt overnight. Owner/manager states recent loss of knowledgeable techs, his current health issues, death in the family, new computer program, medicaid/medicare cuts as reason for poor service. Admits that service tech didn't have a clue, but states that he "needs to learn somehow." Issue was finally fixed after numerous phone calls from therapists. What a nightmare!

Caring, concerned, empathetic ... and knowledgeable of products and services available. Mom and I had a very short wait the first time we entered the store, but the chairs we sat in while waiting were comfortable. We had 100% attention, and they walked-us through the necessary paperwork, and advised us of what we needed from her doctors in order to be covered by medicare. Awesome. If I wasn't a full-time caregiver for my own mother, I would be applying here for a job! Thanks, again!

exceptional customer service

I have been to 2 other medical supply stores in rochester. One made you wait 20 minutes and gave me attitude the other on Ridge rd did not know the product and benefits. I called Westside and what was nice right off the bat was a live body actually answered the phone. They wer very pleasant and actually sounded sincere. I went to their store in the Town of Gates and was very surprised as to the inventory they carry. The choices of scooters and power chairs was huge. I dealt with one of their trained staff who actually knew what they were talking about and tried several pieces of equipment. I learned a great deal from their sales person Ed and his brother Ron. They helped me thru the entire process. I also realized how little our insurance policies cover these day versus years back. Any ways the proces was very enlightening and their entire staff is very friendly and warm with the customers. I was in their store for almost 2 hours and would reccommend them to anyone. I found out later they are a true family business and really do care about your needs.

Exceptional product and service!

Years ago when I had a knee injury I had dealt with another medical supply company in the Rochester area. I was very unhappy with the service I received but, it was a one time deal so I wasn't very concerned. When a family member got sick recently I did a little research and found there was a medical store on the westside, which is convenient for me. What I actually found was an angel in disguise as a storefront. I had so many questions because everything was so new and happened so quickly. I was so taken back with the staff being so patient and willing to help with all my problems and concerns. They seemed to know exactly what was needed to make life easier for my family member and us taking care of her. most of the items I needed were right in the store and I could take home that day! One other item I needed had to be ordered butI received a phone call the next day telling me that the item just got there and I could come pick it up. The staff displayed empathy and sincerity towards my situation and for that I would recommend them to everyone. I also learned that it was a local, family owned business. I feel that they really care about their customers and am so happy in my dealings with them.
