We took my car here because it had codes that popped up for variable timing valve and the 02 sensor. I had gotten the 02 sensor. I took it in and they said I also needed new brake pads. So they quoted us 1100 for brake pads, to put sensor in, and fix timing valve. They didn't say anything about headlight restoration. Yet they decided it would be okay to have that in the quote without telling us. Then they called and told us that they didn't need to put o2 sensor in because the variable timing valve fixed it. Well a few weeks later check engine light comes back on. Same two codes. Variable timing valve and o2 sensor bank 1 upstream. I asked if I had the right part for that code. auto parts matched it up and said yes it was the right part. We took it back to be fixed. Then they said the reason they didn't put o2 sensor in was because it was the wrong part not that it fixed it. They said they couldn't get anything to malfunction. Took it to another mechanic. They put part in and fixed it.
