Pools R Us built a nice pool for the money we spent. But, having to deal with the way they do business has made it not worth it. We were told/promised things that never happened. It seemed like one excuse after the other. I was promised samples of colors/tiles/concrete. That never happened. Then when I was chose a design based on a photo, I was told they could match that exactly. Came out NOTHING like the photo, then the blame was put all back on us. Pool was filled without working pumps, this causing the plaster to stain during the curing process. Therefore we were forced to drain and refill our pool. After this we were promised to be reimbursed for the utility costs. That still hasn't happened. DO NOT rely on a "handshake" deal with this company. They also strong armed us into paying the last payment on our pool when the work was not complete. The owner insisted that the contract stated completion of pool, not cosmetic work. We paid, and later had our lawyer look over the contract. Only at full pool completion should we have paid our last payment. That is our fault for trusting in this company. The cosmetic work that needs corrected still isn't done. Beware of Pools R Us! Through out the building process, you will have balances to pay towards the cost. At the beginning, when the payments are large amounts, it seems like you are the most important customer. At the end, when they have most of their money, they will have moved onto the next poor customer and not have time for you. Please understand, you will get a nice pool, for a reasonable price. But, DO NOT expect good customer service, or anything done is a timely manner. Also, be sure you physically SEE any materials they plan to use. I think a lot of the materials may be "clearance" items, and they just buy what then can get the cheapest and then try to talk you into it being the best option. Also, if you use them, by NO MEANS, pay them the last installment before you are completely satisfied.
