The Country Life Care community helps those persons who are in the post-acute phase of a catastrophic injury or illness, who need highly skilled nursing care and rehabilitation. We are offering services for those who are in the early post-acute stage or those who need long to life term care services as well. We’ve created an atmosphere for catastrophically disabled individuals to live life in a way that is as meaningful and comfortable as possible. Our care promotes opportunities for recovery and helps the individuals we care for look forward to living. In the 1980s, Bob (Founder) worked in long-term subacute care, programs and operations. Bob saw an opportunity to create a niche medical model. When a family is in crisis, taking an injured or sick person home can destroy the family. Country Life Care Center is a place in which the family can continue to be a family, without having the burden of being 24/7 care givers. Our warm and comfortable atmosphere contains technology that provides enhanced and complex medical services. We provide opportunities of recovery for adults and pediatrics, including newborns. We have a higher nurse to patient ratio than required by licensing agencies. Our highly skilled nurses and staff members go above and beyond the baseline requirements. Our in-house therapy department is well equipped and provides physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapy. Bob created subacute level of care for congregate living. He had laws passed in California that allowed people to be treated in a community instead of a hospital. This patient population becomes a lost few. They are often forgotten when in the post-acute phase because there is no buzz or glamor around long-term acute care. Individuals at our care center are part of a community. Our skill and technology stabilize their health while the atmosphere’s design and beauty enrich their lives.

We care for patients with the following injuries and conditions: Spinal Cord Injuries A Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) occurs when the spinal cord is severed or partially damaged. Victims of SCI lose complete or partial motor functioning. Because every injury case is unique, our experienced nurses give each patient the customized care they need. Acquired Brain Injury According to the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah, an estimated 56,000 Utahns are living with a long-term disability related to Traumatic Brain Injuries. Because every case is different, the consequences vary greatly. These injuries can affect a victim’s ability to move, think and speak. Our skilled staff is ready to give the unique care and attention each individual with a brain injury needs. Ventilator Dependencies People who depend on ventilators are not physically able to maintain spontaneous breathing on their own. Individuals with neuromuscular and central nervous system diseases, and spinal cord and other medically complex conditions (such as cerebral vascular accident, myocardial infarction and multiple sclerosis) are most likely to be dependent on ventilators. These individuals are more likely to develop infections because their respiratory systems are already strained. The chance of infection is significantly lessened at our facility because our staff is well-trained and well-equipped in the management of respiratory care. And more, call us todayfor a tour.
