I had a Hunter-Douglas motorized shade and the motor went bad. The Window Decorators removed the shade ($50) and sent it to the manufacturer for repair. I could never get an estimate even though I repeatedly asked for one. They do not return calls, but when I finally got through, they told me they thought the cost would be $45. They reinstalled shade ($50) and told me the repair charge was $197.22. Thus, the total cost to me was $297.22. I am upset that a written estimate was never given and the actual charge far exceeded the vague oral estimate. I could have bought a different shade for far less than $300. This company does not follow standard business practices and is very non-responsive. I would never recommend this company to anyone!
