David from Sotero Fernandez seemed professional and upfront when I met with him. He gave us an estimate of $1800 for tree removal from our rental, told me they are fully insured and bonded and noted that they would fix our sprinkler system (located near the base of the tree) if they break it. On the day of the tree removal, it rained, and for at least once a week for the next month, it rained. By the time that I notified Sotero Fernandez of the broken pipes and water puddles with bugs growing, they refused to return my calls. During the course of the tree removal they let huge blocks of wood fall crash into the surrounding area (hence the broken pipes). David and his workers were not in the least bit careful and they left a huge mess that took me days to clean up. In my fourth and final conversation with the Sotero Fernandez rep, he told me David admitted that they broke the sprinkler system, but since they couldn t do anything to prevent the sprinklers from breaking they are not going to fix them. We ended up spending hundreds of dollars fixing the damage that they did to our property. We are now consulting with a lawyer on how best to sue them. Consider this your warning and do not be fooled these liars.
