Renters beware. She wrongfully kept over $1000 of the security deposit, violating CA civil code & guidelines. She is greedy, manipulative, unscrupulous, and lacks basic human kindness.



My father rented from Edith. He passed away & I was left with the responsibility to get everything moved out. Within 3 days of my first conversation with her, I had a 60 day notice to quit or evict. Really? My father just died.



Edith will boast 35 years of experience. Clearly she hasn't paid attention to the updates in the law regarding security deposits or the building code regarding fire alarms and keeping homes safe to live in. In spite of being made aware of current civil code and her wrong doing, she proved not to be interested in following the law.



She charged me to re-key for the next tenant, $700 to repaint & for cleaning carpet that only had normal wear & tear, among other things. Law states you cannot charge for these things.
