We have American Home Shield in may we called American Home Shield to have our stove top looked at. Mr. Gaines came out and looked at our Stove and we were told he had to order our part for our stove. I waited till July before I called American Home to get his number to see how long it would be until he would be out to repair our stove. I called and left several messages he never once returned my call. I called American home shield to see if they could get him to return their call. He told them that he would have to order our part and would give us a call that evening which he never did. I had to have another company come out and repair my stove. I don't recommend this company to anyone at all. he took our money and never repaired our stove. a very unhappy customer.

If I could give no stars I would. This company is worthless and unreliable. They never called and when you try to call them their voice mail box is full. I went through American Home Shield to have my dishwasher repaired. They selected Gaines. Three weeks later and still no dishwasher. Avoid at all costs!

Gaines Appliances was initially sent out by our home warranty company, American Home Shield (AHS), to service our microwave. They never made that appointment or called to say that they couldn't make that appointment. After demanding that AHS send out someone who is punctual, Sears came out and serviced our microwave. In November 2013, our downstairs heat went out. AHS again tried to send out Gaines Appliances. We were supposed to have an expedited recall since another company had been out less than a month before with the same issue. I was assured that Gaines would be out the next day. Again, Gaines Appliances neither showed for that appointment, nor called to say that they would not be showing up. I called Gaines and left a message on their voicemail. I then called AHS again who left multiple messages with Gaines Appliances as well. Later in the day, at nearly 11:00 p.m., I called AHS when it was 40 degrees in the house. The operator put me on the phone with Gaines Appliances, who stated that it had "slipped his mind," but that he could be out the next day: Thanksgiving morning. I told the operator to cancel the appointment with Gaines, since I did not for a second believe that Gaines would actually show up and perform the work. Do not bother hiring this company if you expect them to be either professional or punctual.
