We heard of Organoscapes by doing an online search in the Houston area on FaceBook (FB). We looked for a landscape company specifically that is environmentally conscious and aware of planting Texas natives for all their benefits. Ron the owner, did not disappoint! He was passionate and informative from the beginning! He understood the vision of our front yard. After 1.5 days of install, we are really enjoying the native beds right now and have high hopes for the Texas Maple in our yard. Notably, Ron checked on our yard a few times after install and provided support on our current watering. It seems like the yard is attracting wildlife again such as birds, butterflies, and frogs. Yes, the grass really is greener and thicker on our sides of property lines. There is color and texture in even our deepest shade. Thanks to 22 years of Ron Brelund’s landscape expertise and ongoing TLC our yard thrives. And it has done so through draught, floods, and freezes. On Ron’s regular visits he not only nourishes everything and eliminates all incipient problems, he also tidies. When he happens to come when we’ve been elsewhere for awhile — and the yard shows it — he also trims, weeds, and does all and even more of the maintenance we normally do ourselves.

Our yard has been featured once in the Houston Chronicle, has been chosen several times as Yard of the Month in our subdivision, and is a Certified Wildlife Habit. Thanks, Ron!

I have been using Organoscapes for my lawn maintenance for several years now and couldn't be more pleased. The difference in my yard is unbelievable! I have used Ron as my personal landscape expert for 20 years. He knows more about organic landscaping then anyone in the Houston area. What makes him different than those cheap mowing companies is when he does a project it's usually very little maintenence or clean up and has saved me money and time not having to do much to keep it looking great.

Ron and the Organoscapes crew did an amazing makeover of our small front yard after a 100 yr old oak tree fell, destroying the yard and changing it from shady to full sun. He selected a great variety of native and adapted species that will be hardy and attract bees and butterflies. He even went above and beyond to track down a specific native maple tree we wanted. The crew was quick, tidy and obviously enjoyed working together. They laid new sod, added a new gravel stone walkway and even transplanted some existing plants as requested. I appreciated that Ron was on-site daily, checking in on progress and came by twice after the job was done to check on everything and make a few tweaks. All around a great company and a pleasure to work with.

I choose Organsocapes to maintain my yard because they do it with the same care I do myself. This includes weeding by hand, pulling invasive species, mowing to best practice, sparingly applying fertilizers to fruit trees at appropriate times of year, and deep mulch techniques. Ron "gets" it, does the right thing when I request it, or does the best thing when I am gone. I never have to worry about the health of my garden. The neighborhood association has a strict reputation but Organoscapes keeps my property looking great according to the Restrictions. I grew banana trees in my garden for years, but they fruited for the first time when Organsocapes came; correlation equals causation, right? For all the right reasons, I trust Organoscapes to care for my landscape investment as much as I do, with impressive knowledge and effort for value.

Ron was fun to work with. He shares similar environmental values and understood our preferences. We felt comfortable having them here. Our backyard was transformed with a bioswale, (including correction of some "unearthed" drainage issues)and new woodland and native plantings to compliment our existing landscaping. The crew was meticulous in how they graded the area to flow properly. Bring on the monsoons! We are ready! I wouldn't hesitate to use Ron again.

We've worked with Ron since 2006 and we have never been disappointed. He has completely reworked our landscape and kept it happy and healthy for years. He's quick to respond to inquiries and has always given us the best advise. We will be moving to Colorado in the next year and are seriously considering taking Ron with us!

Organoscapes has been maintaining my property for 15 years. Ron has extensive knowledge of native and naturalized plants for the Houston area, and knowledge of how to care for those plants without synthetic chemicals. Ron is always quick to respond to my requests for information and my needs for yardwork. He has done multiple bed installations over the years.
