"We love Montessori House for Children!” The staff there is so friendly and our daughter likes all of them. They make her feel become every morning with a friendly smile. Mrs. Nelson is an awesome principal, always responsive and willing to take the time to address our needs. Our daughter’s academic abilities have grown tremendously since her first day of school. She has awesome teachers; they are very caring and loving, dedicated to helping the students grow academically and socially and they are great support to the children needs. Our oldest son attended this school for almost 4 years and we have always been happy. Montessori House for Children has been my kids second home.

I would NOT recommend this school. My son was picked on, labelled and called names by his teachers, all because he did not fit into their box of "be seen and not heard". My son has a very strong, independent personality and they did not like it. (isn't this the purpose of a Montessori education - creating confident, independent children?). He would ask questions and invent new ways of playing with the toys, but this apparently was not allowed. You had to follow their rules only, no thinking outside the box. I also personally witnessed on numerous occasions the teachers ignoring my child, when he was talking to them. When I brought this up with the Director, her response was, "we all have bad days, wouldn't you if you were surrounded by 30 kids all day!". We were being called into the office on a weekly basis to discuss my child's "bad" behavior. We were even told that we were "bad" parents and that our child was cuckoo.
