Grace Baking has been awarded the title of Best Bakery by the San Francisco Chronicle Reader s Poll. The company is an artisan bakery that provides a wide variety of nutritious breads made with all natural ingredients. Grace s bread products include Fred Bread, made with toasted pecans, golden raisins and dried cranberries; as well as country sourdough, olive bread, potato bread, pugliese, sourdough pugliese, sourdough walnut and French baguettes. Grace also offers cakes, tarts, cookies, muffins, scones, Danish pastries, coffee cakes, croissants, bagels and several flavors of focaccia. The company began in 1987 with a full-service bakery in Rockridge Market Hall that was opened by California Culinary Academy graduate and former Hotel Meridien head pastry chef, Glenn Mitchell.
