Richland Hills United Methodist Church was organized with 89 members on July 26, 1953 in the Richland Hills Civic Center Building under the leadership of Reverend Robert E. Young. Membership increased so rapidly that property owned on Reeves Street in Richland Hills was termed inadequate and 5 1/2 acres was purchased at 7301 Glenview Drive in North Richland Hills, its present site.

Wonderful Church

Richland Hills United Methodist Church is a wonderful church! The people are very friendly and welcoming. They made me and my family feel right at home the first time we went. There are numerous activities for my entire family, and they are a Safe Sanctuary, so I know my son will always be safe. If you are visiting the area, or are new to town, I hope you come join us for a Sunday service!

A great neighborhood church!

Richland Hills UMC is a friendly and involved neighborhood church that provides a wonderful worship experience on Sundays, and opportunities for spiritual growth, community service and wholesome fellowship. The children's area, called CrossRoads, offers four unique settings to allow kids to experience the Bible through interactive computer programs, old-fashioned story telling, theatrical activities, and arts & crafts. Youth and adults can find a wide variety of settings in which to explore, engage and exercise their faith - no matter where along their individual journey they may be.

If someone is looking for a faith community where they will find acceptance and opportunity, Richland Hills UMC is just the place.
