Founded in 1979, Hub Hobby Center has 40 years of experience serving the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. In those 40+ years Hub Hobby has expanded several times and been transformed into a HOBBY SUPER STORE that not only carries anything you could need in the traditional hobbies (model trains, radio control, model rockets, plastic models, etc.), but we have varied our product mix to now include such things as games, puzzles, toys, science projects, art and craft kits, and a whole host of other items too numerous to mention. There really are no other stores like Hub Hobby. Swing by one of our two metro locations, St. Paul or Minneapolis, you'll be amazed!

I have been going here a few times. And they are always helpful and informative. About there huge inventory on hand(and are blinding quick to fill stock that sales sometimes within minutes after a sale).and most importantly! They know the products! really! In detail! One of the best things about this store. Is that they don't hound you for a sale. They simply greet you when you get there. And say "WE'RE"! HERE. For any question you have(wonderful).and they stay out your way to shop or just look. They are quick to help when called upon this is just about the best example of American quality at it's best. When people say good old fashioned service this is what they mean. I will continue to physically shop there in person. Just can't beat that "WIDE" SELECTION! And helpful service. Very BIG SELECTION. For every age group! Keep up the service and being number one. When it comes to hobbies and crafts etc.you have my five stars each and every time. This Business is the best. Because they believe we the Customers are the best.its one of the best parts of my day.
Respectfully ADAN ALTUR.

I love Hub Hobby

I used to build model airplanes and was into coin collecting when Hub Hobby was located at the Hub Shopping center in Richfield.. That was in the 1970s. Back then and now Hub Hobby has the best selection of models of any shop I know of anywhere in the Twin Cities. Now I'm looking for a model train for my kid for Christmas and again, I don't know any other store that would carry the good stuff. I'm a science junkie and have bought a lot of the fun science kits for kids in my Sunday School, my kids, relatives and myself. I'm an engineer, but I really enjoy revisiting concepts that can be used to make a clock, synthesizer, race car, etc. They used to carry bottles of gold flakes which I would also buy for the kids in my Sunday School class at Christmas, but don't carry them this year. I'd buy 40 bottles next year if Hub would carry them!

Fantastic Store

Product selection covers just about any hobby imaginable. Staff and service are the best! Staff is very friendly, knows their products and are very helpful. I wish I lived closer, but Mail Order service is also great.

Hobbiest til I Die.

I went into Hub Hobby again today as I have done many times over 30 years. It's always the same. The girl behind the counter is almost always either chewing gum and looking bored with seldom a greeting. If the person isn't chewing gum and looking bored she is reading a book and looking like she is really into it and doesn't want to be bothered, or some times she is doing both. Chewing gum and reading a book. I have nothing against either when not done at the checkout and in the proper place.ie. Not at work. Then I wander back to the trains and God forbid if I should have a question because the 2 or 3 older men sitting behind that counter don't want to get up for any reason. They never smile and treat me like an idiot if I have a question about a train. They almost never get up to come to the cabinet to explain anything inn the way of a question. I am not trying to slam them or talk bad about them but it's the same all the time. So as a result I have started to go to another hobby store. It is a lot further from my home but at least I'm treated like a valued customer. I love their items but won't tolerate the people who work there any more. Enough is enough. Thank You

There aren't many stores like this

You can while away the hours here with your kids (and kids of all ages). Models, trains, collectables, games, remote controls, crafts, science kits. You name it, they have it. A great place to shop when you don't know what to get for a gift!

Lots of great stuff

You can get anything for any kid here or for the obsessed collector in your life. Great place to buy for a boy. My son's favorite birthday present is a gift card from here.
