Please if you care for your love one happiness and being and well taking of please DO NOT leave your love one here, they are understaff. So many timesI have found my love one full of urine and bm it was so bad I smelled it as soon as I step foot into her room:(, when asked to assist I received alot of eyes rolling as if I was not standing in front, please if you can PLEASE find another NH and then do pop up just to make sure your loved one is properly cared for, needless to say I pulled my loved one out and never looked back. Dissatisfied family:(

My elderly mother was NOT cared for properly at San Remo Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Home following surgery for a broken leg. Confused from meds, she fell re-breaking her femur after being there only 30 hours. Although classified as a fall risk and warned just hours before that she was trying to get out of bed, they took no precautions (other than lowering her bed) to try to prevent the fall--no bed alarm-- or minimize the consequences --no padding around the bed. They assured me they would watch her.

When I arrived after they called to say she had fallen, she was screaming in pain, but they wouldn't call 911 since they wanted to wait over 30 minutes to use their own transport. The nurse said he would get in trouble for calling 911 so I had to call 911. It took four paramedics to move her since she had rebroken her leg worse and dislocated the plate and pins. She was crying in pain.The administrator did not return my call the following day. I personally had to go in and the director finally said had been "too busy" to call me. I've never heard from them again (surely hoping I will go away).

My mother had to have another surgery after the fall at San Remo. She died 12 days later. I was thorough in my complaint to the state but "somehow" the records showed some precautions were taken. The Dept. of Aging and Disabilities Services said it was my word against theirs. My word says they were negligent in their care. DON'T GO THERE!

If you love your loved ones and they need help real bad, don't take them here.....they don't take care of them like they should....if they need physical therapy and they can't sit up or anything forgot this place...they wouldn't help my Mom, they gave up on her 3 days after they started......I do not like this place period....
