Okay, this review is coming a few years late, but after finally seeing a periodontist to correct the problem I went to Hillcrest Dental for in 2004, I felt compelled to share my experience in case others find themselves in a similar situation.



I have a problem with receding gums. In high school, I had surgery from a very experienced periodontist in Yakima. He was great, the surgery was a success & my recovery went well. When I was in my 20's, I had problems with my gums receding a few teeth over in either direction from where I had my initial surgery. The dentist claimed he could do it himself, no issues. I was surprised since I had been referred out to a specialist before, but went with it because he seemed so sure. The experience was a nightmare. He took the skin from the back of my gums, near where my wisdom teeth had once been, which made for a more painful recovery from the roof of my mouth as my prior procedure had used. Neither graft took and the recovery was horrible. I felt like I had been run over by a truck. I was supposed to go back so he could repeat the process, but opted to never return to that clinic again. As others have stated, the staff was less than professional & I had not been impressed by them, though that wouldn't have been reason to never return if I had been happy with my dental care.



Flash forward to today... A little over ten years since I was supposed to go back for the same procedure, I finally asked my dentist for a referral to a periodontist for the gum rescission. I now live in GA & have had a stellar experience with our local periodontist. He said that with the location of the area needing the grafts, that a regular gum tissue graft wouldn't be ideal. He also couldn't believe that the dentist did it himself rather than sending me to a specialist and that he used skin from the area in the back of my lower teeth rather than from the roof of my mouth. He said that tissue from that lower back area isn't the right tissue needed for this particular area and he wasn't at all surprised that the graft didn't take. Instead he performed a pinhole graft, inserting collagen from my body into my gums to raise my gum line up. The recovery has been far less painful than my procedure at Hillcrest Dental. Bottom line is this: If your regular dentist claims they can do periodontal work, politely decline and ask for the referral. Though they've taken a periodontal course in dental school, they are not anywhere close to as trained as a specialist & don't keep up with the continuing education for new techniques.



This practice has no business doing periodontal work, in my opinion.

We stepped away from this guy .My husband had a such pain it was emergency to see a doctor . This doctor suggested to pull teeth away saying that he has crack in in it ,which by the way could not show ion x rays? We took an antibiotic and all pain went away it turned out he had bad inflammation of tissue around tooth and that happened in the past .

Dr. Le is the best dentist. He literally rebuilt my mouth. Gives his home and cell phone number to patients for emergencies. Calls to make sure you are feeling ok. Comes in early if you are in pain! He is an artist when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. You will love this office.

I came in and got cleaning and fillings done. Dr. Le worked was excellent. Very carrying and showed much concern about how I was feeling during the process. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. His assistant as well that clean my teeth also did a great job. Thank you for the excellent service.

Great staff. All very nice and friendly and really took the effort to make me comfortable and satisfied with my dental needs. I actually felt a little bit nervous first coming here because this was the first time I was going to a dentist in years, let alone having to find one on my own.

At Hillcrest Dental, they are prompt, friendly, efficient, informative and caring. Dr. Le and the staff there are very considerate of financial situation. My experience with Dr. Le was very good, as usual. I needed emergency care the next day and he was reassuring and supportive. Excellent experience, every time.

The hygienist was sweet and gentle. They were helpful and made it painless as possible to the point I almost fell asleep.

I had an emergency dental pain issue and he saw me within an hour. He was kind, compassionate and gentle. He charged very little. So now, I am returning to him to fix my crown. He charges less than my real dentist (no longer) and I feel comfortable with him fixing my crown.

My appointment was easy breezy. Hill Crest is a quaint , friendly office. The staff was nice, including Dr. Lee. He review my medical history, asked if i had any dental concerns, addressed them, then cleaned my teeth. I experienced normal cleaning discomfort, but nothing I couldn't handle. He was really thorough. The cleaning with x-ray was $99 and to replace a crown of concern would be $770 if I choose to have I replaced in the future. The hygienist was sweet and gentle with her hands.

I was having a dental issue during the holidays a couple of days ago. I called the office and was surprised that Dr. Le answered the phone. He was out of the office but had all calls forwarded to his cell hone. We made an appointment for a few days later when he returned.

My teeth have never looked and felt better, so I'm very happy. I can heartily recommend Dr. Le to friends and new patients.

Thank you Dr. Le, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have a smile, I appreciate your willingness to work with me. To me this experience was life-changing. I can finally smile again.

I have been going to dentist on my own for couple of years. I have never found a dentist I could trust like the dentist office at Hillcrest Dental. Dr. Le is a professional and never self-serving. He is trustworthy, reliable, and honest.

I would like to express my extreme thanks for the work you did on my teeth. I had not been to a dentist in over 3 years because I have never had a good experience. I have never been more excited to go to the dentist in my life after my first visit with Dr Le. Your office has raised the bar on dentistry in so many different aspects. My teeth look absolutely amazing and I feel confident again. Thank You!

For the first time ever, I don't dread going to the dentist. What a great experience! I actually look forward to my next appt and my teeth look great. Thank you Dr. Le. Yeah!

Dr. Le has the latest technologies to enhance our smiles. Dr. Le is caring, thorough, patient, and professional before, during, and after my extract and implant procedure. His office is very new and nice here. I cannot imagine having a better experience for this most unpleasant but pleasant procedure.
