Welcome to hammond central It was over thirty-six years ago that Hammond Organ Company built the last of its "tonewheel" organs. Those organs, rather than fading away like so many other brands, have actually gained in popularity, becoming an integral part of the sound associated with Sunday morning worship for many churches. It is estimated that there are nearly 500, 000 Hammond organs still being played in churches, living rooms, and jazz clubs across this country. Hi, I'm Cliff Unruh and I am pleased to introduce you to "HAMMOND CENT RAL, " your resource for everything associated with Hammond Organs and Leslie speakers in California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and parts of Nevada. We started HAMMOND CENTRAL to fill a need. With so many vintage Hammond Organs still earning their keep, we seek to provide our West Coast friends with a one-stop source for service and parts for vintage Hammond and Lesli e products, as well as new Hammond and Leslie products when it is time to upgrade. Today with the announcement of the new " Mini B" Organ and Leslie system, the upgrade possibilities are now within reach of small congregations and players with modest budgets. About Hammond Central Hammond Central is not a typical piano and organ store serving the general public. Our approach is entirely different, designed to keep overhead costs low and dedicated to serve the needs of churches and professional musicians who are keeping the sound of Hammond alive and well. This does not mean that we don't cater to the home organ enthusiast or the "weekend warrior" musician. We are happy to help those idividuals as well. However be cause our showroom is housed in one of the most exclusive recording studios in Southern California, all visits are by appointment only and the address is not posted on this site.
