The company began in 1959 as Farwest Manufacturing and was responsible for the first lighted displays in the 707 Jumbo Jet and the DC-8 aircraft. The company was purchased by Zodiac Group in 1999 and continues to operate as part of that company s Aircraft Systems business segment. IDD Aerospace maintains its headquarters in Redmond, Wash.
