The owner is opinionated, pushy and has no respect for the opinions of others. She feels that her opinion is the right one without question. She specializes in dogs and has little knowledge of cats. She offers a few good foods that you can't find any where else, but you'll have to put up with her snotty attitude. Hardly worth it.

Hi! I go to Lorin's every week for my pet supplies and have learned a lot about the proper care and feeding of my cats and dog.

I happened to glance down and see this review by a nasty little troll who is obviously lying. I guess Lorin's competition will stoop to anything to try and lower her 5 star rating.

Here's your first clue that it's a lie: LORIN DOESN'T SELL DOGS!

There are other stores in the area, Paws being one, and those people are rude and unhelpful. Lorin is nothing like that. Additionally, she does NOT sell dogs.

I sincerely hope that YP removes that obvious troll by some nasty little person with a small mind. BOTTOM LINE: If you want the best advice, food and toys, buy from Furry Face, voted #1 pet store!

Hi, I signed on to write a rave review about Furry Face, and then saw this awful message by a person name PhyllyWilly. I was astounded by the vituperarative (spiteful) comments made by this person. Even if I had been heavily wronged by someone I would never resort to such abusive commentary.. By giving into vengeful feelings we hurt only ourselves. Better to have remained calm and addressed Lorin face to face, than remained with a hard heart..This is just such an example of why wars are still waged on this planet. One person takes offense and there is a cascade of bad feelings all around. It accomplishes nothing good and is a never-ending source of unhappiness.

So, now I hope I have space left to say how grateful I am for Lorin's help the other day in choosing a dog food. I had been serving my dogs what I thought was good dog food (dehydrated) and found that the veggies are sourced in China. I do believe I will SAVE money getting the freeze-dried food with meat than I do now buying meat separately and adding it in. Also, I want to say that I was astounded by the generous gifts we all received when I attended her lecture last Sunday! Further, the lecture was free and hugely informative. I am very happy to have found a kindred spirit; one who loves dogs as much as I!

I couldn't agree more with Kim...

I couldn't agree more with Kimberluvsk9 … that review below is not only humorous, but also sad. Looks like a teenager trying to have some fun, but not realizing their words are put online for all to see - like an internet version of graffiti. Furry Face is run by women not an 'old guy psyhco' and they continue to provide great service for our dog - we've been getting her groomed there every other week for two years.

Back to the positive stuff, we shop at Furry Face not because it is the cheapest (which it's not), but because as an independent store they have new products from really cool companies and take time to answer questions about what is best for our dog. A fun, playful store.

I think the reply below me is ...

I think the reply below me is rather humorous...just wanted to say I'm pretty sure you have the wrong business since the place is run by all women. Probably should double check that.

PhillyWilly, I really hope you decide to actually RESEARCH now.

I am writing this in response to phillywilly below me, who is upset about their "mixed breed." Sir, you certainly got taken to the cleaners, and no it was not by Lorin Grow. Firstly, registering the dog is YOUR responsibility. You obviously know nothing about the registries. You also obviously know nothing about DNA testing. A friend's 10 lb white bichon was tested and came back as a NEWFOUNDLAND. Read the studies done on DNA testing efficiacy. There was one where a focus group of Labrador Retrievers were tested (where their lineage could be traced back at least 6 generations by the AKC) and it only got it right 60% of the time. There is so much I could address, from the pricing of the food to the "sermon" to your description of so called not breed characteristics (cuz EVERY bichon looks the same, didn't you know that? Idiot. Boy, you must be a master geneticist...) that you seriously have NO IDEA what you are talking about. If I did so, however, this post would be pages long. Suffice to say, shame on you for allowing your ignorance to slander a business owner who has worked very hard and been beaten down by a lot of people like yourself to get where she is. I hope with time you learn to shut your mouth long enough to not switch feet.

Great little shop

I'm very disappointed to have read the other review on here because I have had nothing but nice things come from Loren. The Grows are very nice people and the pricing is a little much but the longer your a loyal customer the more 'perks' you get. I love the special vip events and my dog loves the frozen treats. I know Loren has been extremely ruined by the words of her competitors and it's unfortunate because now she has a slight guard up but what a great lady!

LYING OVERPRICED RIP OFF!!

My husband and I bought a "Bichon Frise" puppy a year ago for $1800 from Ms. Loren Grow. At least we thought it was. She promised us that she would register him with the AKC, as he was a purebred. After six months of her not returning my phone calls, she left me a message saying that she had registered him with the CKC. What is that?! As our puppy grew older, we noticed that he did NOT have the typical Bichon look. We took him to a specialist who does DNA testing and lo and behold. He is not a purebred. He is a poodle-bichon mix. We got taken for almost two grand. I was upset, seeing as how she makes you come to interviews and forces you to listen to a "sermon"about what food is best for your new puppy, and all the while she is selling you overpriced mixes. I would not believe a word that comes out of this womans mouth. Granted, we love our dog, but it still hurts that someone would rip another person off like that. She makes me sick. I have seen the way she treats people, namely myself and my husband, when she thinks you can't do anything for her or you are against her. She is a nasty human being. You can buy the same outfits online at half the price too. I will NEVER set foot in her store again and I hope others will do the same.

The best decision I ever made!

This is by far THE BEST place to go - not only for doggie fashion, but to find the furry love of your life! Furry Face Cafe & Boutiki specializes in small breed puppies. The owner and staff are highly knowledgeable and GENUINELY care about placing the right puppy with the right owner/family! I was a skeptical about purchasing my puppy from a store, but after going through the screening process and training and seeing just how much they really love what they do... it was a natural choice and the best choice I've ever made. Drop by and check out the store, you'll be impressed by the QUALITY of merchandise to pamper your furry child! I just can't say enough about this diamond of a store I found in downtown Redlands!
