I would not consider moving in...

I would not consider moving in to this apartment complex. I recently moved out from this complex after it was taken over by new management and I am sorry to say that the new owners are all about the money. They do not stick to the contract you sign, they do not disclose the fact that NO MATTER WHAT, YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE YOUR ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE CONTRACT SAYS, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE SEEMINGLY NICE MANAGEMENT SAYS, REGARDLESS OF HOW WELL YOU TAKE CARE OF THE APARTMENT AND ANY UPGRADES YOU PAY FOR OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET!!!! They will charge you for repairs, painting, ect. when you move out regardless. They charge more money than they quote to get the carpets cleaned, they said it would be $40 to $50, it was actually $75, and they told us that if we wasted money on a rug doctor to do it ourselves it wouldn't be good enough and we would be charged the fee anyway to get it re-done. Even after they tell you during the final walk-through that everything is in tip top shape, aside from normal wear and tear that is expected, and nothing should be charged, you get your security deposit refund and a bunch of money is missing, with the explanation that it is the normal fees they charge?!?!?!?! The apartment complex was undergoing remolding as a result of the new management recently purchasing the property, and repairs/upgrades already slated to be done as the general upgrade that all the other apartments had already received were charged to us through the security deposit money we never got back (and the other tenets in similar style units were paying the same price as us for these upgraded apartments with newer amenities ever since the new management took over). We lost over $250 when we moved out from here of money we really hoped to get back due to our careful maintenance of the place, never having parties or pets, and investing no small amount of our own money in the upkeep of the unit during the year and a half we lived there. Due to the fact that they know that any legal fees and lost time we would incur fighting this B.S. would far exceed this amount of money, they know they will get away with this. Shame on these people for taking advantage of recent college grads and first time apartment renters, lying to our faces, and being the type of business people this country has come to despise. Avoid "DOLGHETTO" at any cost, there are many other, more legitimate, options all around the U of R, including Citrus Plaza, check them out instead. These are also the managers for Wysteria Apartments right next door, and I might avoid that property as well if I were you, just a thought.

- A couple of U of R students who just got pretty screwed.

I understand the disappointment of these young people and must say that we did follow the language of the contract in terms of the security deposit use, as we manage over 2600 units, and follow the laws as they are determined by our industry. The carpet most likely was more expensive by $25 due to the removal of additional spots or stains. All receipts for costs incurred to return the apartments to rentable condition are supplied to the vacating residents. The reference to "Dolghetto" above tells us who marked are sign with spray paint when they moved out. I guess that this tells you about this complainer and what they are willing to do when things don't go exactly as they would like. College students? How disappointing!
