Mr. Kim did a wonderful job on my dodge grand caravan. I had a laundry list of repairs that needed to be done based on the recommendation of the dealership but I couldn't afford the price the dealer quoted. I took it to Mr. Kim and had all repairs made at a reasonable price and I've found a mechanic I can trust to keep my car on the road for a long time to come. I'm confident you will be pleased with the quick, quality work you will find at Kim's auto repair!

Great place for quality service. I always prefer going to mom and pop shops over big chain stores and Kim's Auto Repair is no exception. It's a bit far out, but I never feel hassled or like I'm trying to be sold a service I don't need. Nice owners, great service.

This shop is very honesty and integrity. I have been here since 2007. Price and skills are good for you. I strongly recommend.

I have a Nissan Maxima with high mileage whenever it needs service I take it to kims automotive. Kim is always straight forward with pricing .He is very professional and very Honest.He has a team of knowedgable mechanics that will get you and your car back on the road.Kims is the only shop I take my cars to.

im trying to buy this used car for my son, but before i make a deal to the seller i asked her if it's okay for her to bring the car to mechanic for inspection and she agreed, i check in the car to Mr. Kim and ask him to inspect the car before i make a decision to buy it, we wait for a while and a few minutes i got the result, Mr Kim found out too many problem, then i ask him how much for diagnose,and he said NOTHING! Gosh !!!! he don't charge me! i thank him so much for helping me before i make decision to buy the used car and save me from headache ;-0

I love going to Kim's! Have been going there the past few years for regular maintenance on my Maxima and also for a brake job. The service is excellent, the owner is super friendly, and prices are very affordable. I'll be back for sure!

I was previously quoted $850 to fix an exhaust manifold for my 2002 Honda Civic. Mr. Kim came highly recommended as a knowledgeable and fair mechanic so I took my car to him for repairs. EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM I WAS PREVIOUSLY QUOTED $850 he charged me less to repair the crack and provided MORE services (changed oil & brake pads and rotors). Since then, I've referred him to another friend who had a "check engine" light that was on so he brought it in for Mr. Kim to check. After diagnosing the light, Mr. Kim confirmed it was just a faulty gas cap ($10~$20 part) that my friend could pick up at any other auto shop (the part wasn't availabe at his store. Summary: Mr. Kim has his customer's best interest in mind. His shop has been around for many years so he's not in it for a quick buck. If you need an honest, reliable place to fix your car this is the place to go.

Being very skeptical of auto repair people,I used Yelp to find Kim's auto repair. I brought my girlfriends Cadillac escalade in for 3 separate repairs totaling $1260.00 when we picked it up. It was $200.00 cheaper due to some parts that were still in good working order. Since then, my motor blew up in my Chevy work truck and I had Kim's auto replace it dud to them being approx $1500.00 cheaper than the next repair center and I shopped it very thoroughly. I feel very confident that you will be very pleased with the services that they give.

quick service Mr. Kim is a pretty relaxed guy, waiting room is spartan, but for $44 got the oil change and break service.. took like 25 mins top.. in and out really quickly

I went to this shop because I had a check engine light on. I was referred to Mr. Kim as I was in LA to visit my friend and didn't know where to go. He checked to see exactly why it came on. Fortunately it was because my gas cap was cracked. Honesty is so hard to find especially in a mechanic. If you want an honest accurate knowledgeable mechanic this is where you want to go.

I called other shops and was quoted such ridiculously high prices for my brakes that nothing matched my budget. Finally, I called them and let them know about my budget and they were able to explain my options. They explained the difference in pricing and why they charge what they charge based on objective labor guides (something other shops apparently don't adhere to). Not only that, they were much cheaper than the other shops! Anyways, when I went over, they let me know that my rear brakes weren't that bad and didn't have to change them. What?! They don't want my money? I only had to change out my front brakes and I ended up spending half of what I budgeted. Trust is worth paying more for but these guys cost less. They found a new loyal customer in me because its businesses like this that understand that by gaining my trust, they'll win out in the long run.

my husband and i have been here at least 3 times. this is how much we trust the service here esp when we have big repairs. one time, kims charged us about $200 less than what a mechanic in bellflower charged us for the same service.

Kim always fixes my car for all major stuff. Trustworthy and fast. i've taken 4 different cars to him, Ford, Mazda, Nissan and Honda, they do a great job! i highly recommend it to all my friends.

You know the commercial that says "now you have a friend in the diamond business." Ladies and gentlemen, now you have a friend in the mechanic business. Mr. Kim rules. Service is excellent but seriously for me the most important thing is he's trustworthy. No joke one time he did some work on my '91 Ford Explorer, when it came time to pay the bill I was shocked at how little he was charging-- I actually tried to pay more but he wouldn't accept it!! Seriously when does that ever happen with a mechanic?? I love Kim's Auto, I drive all the way from Long Beach to go there. I'm sure you'll love it too.

We were driving from Arizona to Oregon when our truck started overheating. We were in crazy traffic at right before 6pm. Pulled over and googled a shop on 9th street and headed that way. Tons of auto repair shops and they were all closed, except Kim's. Pulled in and he told us no worries he could get us on the road in the morning, just needed to order a part. The shop opens at 9 am and when we called at 9 he had already ordered the part and said he would have it in the next 15 minutes.We came in and he had us all fixed up in under an hour and for a very reasonable and fair price. He was so nice, put cartoons on for the kids and made sure we were warm. In a very stressful situation he put us at ease. Would definitely recommend this shop. Honest and reliable, they will take great care of you! Thank you so much for your kindness and help!

Mr Kim is amazing! Awesome quality work. Rebuilt my transmission and brakes on my Volvo s80 on separate times and happy with all work definitely recommend.

I had serious problems with the cam phaser on my 2005 Ford expedition. Being an industrial mechanic i am fully capable of dismantling and making major repairs to automobiles. After extensive researching the problem and several tries at repairing the cam phaser issue i was unsuccessfull. I contacted Kim and got a quote, and entrusted their expertise. Kims Auto was able to make the necessary repairs to my expedition and my car now runs great. I am fully satisfied with Kims Auto and have returned for a brake job, starter install and routine maintenance, Kims Auto is a very reliable, professional and trustworthy Automotive repair shop.

Been going to Kim's since college (10 years ago)! I keep coming back because I trust him. Great for oil changes, smog checks, and also major repairs. He's never made recommendations beyond what was necessary for my car to run well (unlike the dudes at the shops that I won't name who always check your air filters and try to convince you to get new ones or to do a fluid flush that you don't really need). Kim's prices are really good too. You don't ever get the sense that he's trying to jack you with high labor costs. He's always been friendly to me and to the rest of my family. A good mechanic is hard to find, I'm glad I found Kims!

Been going to Kim's since giving him a shot after being tired of being upsold for expensive repairs at Midas, and happy I did. Kim is very upfront with repairs and will explain things to you so that you fully understand what needs to be done to repair your vehicle. The rates are very reasonable and fair.
