Dr. Frank H. Christensen, the Medical Director of the Aesthetic Facial and Ocular Plastic Surgery Center, has completed the most advanced training available. He is a Facial and Ocular sub-specialist, fellowship-trained and a recognized expert in Ophthalmic and Orbital, Plastic Facial and Reconstructive surgery as well as a Cosmetic Facial, Eye and Eye-Lid Plastic Surgeon.

Because the close relationship between the eye, eyelid and face are complex, the anatomy delicate and patient concerns special, Dr. Christensen is uniquely qualified to treat both cosmetic and reconstructive needs of the face, lids, eyes and orbit.

To this comprehensive training are added 25 years of experience practicing solely in this field. The ability to draw from years of teaching, lecturing, and performing surgery allow Dr. Christensen to customize your surgical procedures and care.

Because of the dual training in both facial and eye plastic surgery he has been recognized by other doctors as a preferred sub-specialist.

O.R. Suite

Our state of the art Surgery Center, with suites for major and minor procedures, is designed for your comfort, safety, privacy, and convenience. Anesthesiologists and nurses (when indicated) are present to provide for your complete care before, during, and after your procedure. Our beautiful post-op area provides a welcome and soothing transition for you, whether you go home the same day, or require overnight observation.

Durham Regional Hospital, a part of Duke affiliated hospitals. Dr. Christensen is affiliated with Duke Medical Center. He also is on the Teaching Faculty in the Department of Plastic Surgery as a clinical professor.
