I was initially pleasantly surprised at the large selection of beautiful flowers. I purchased a large amount of annuals and five hanging baskets. Two of the baskets, which I had given to a dear friend and her mother, had died within one week. The date of purchase was May 11, 2008. On may 22nd, my friend returned the baskets. She and I have been in the customer service industry for 17 years. She was told that the baskets had certainly not left the facility in the condition in which they had been returned. My friend then informed the associate that the comment was inappropriate because it is naturally assumed a basket in the condition returned would not have left the facility. She was never offered a discount for a replacement. When she informed me, I contacted a manager named Katie, who told me my friend had been so rude, her sister cried. She then hung up the phone. When I called back to ask why she hung up on me, she stated that she did not want to speak with or do business with anyone associated with a person who would bring bad energy into her store. Due to the fact that I have worked with my friend for five years, and have seen her excellent service and dealings with difficult customers, I doubt that she would have behaved in the manner discribed to me by Katie. I will never return to the store. When I told Katie I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau, she informed me to go ahead.
