I made a appointment for the first time. It was 9:am on a Saturday. I showed up 30 min early to complete paperwork. At 9:30 the nurse took me to exam room. I sat there for 45 minutes and asked how long to see someone. I was told a few minutes more. 20 minutes went by and still no Physician!!!

Avoid this place unless you want to be billed for services you didn't receive and have critical care ignored. They don't care, won't admit or fix mistakes and are rude and unprofessional beyond all imagination.

Horrible

This the worst doctors office! Honestly, I'm not sure how they're even still in business. Clueless providers, I've been misdiagnosed several times here, one being very serious. Mountcastle is worthless & has no shame is showing how uncaring & money hungry she is. Avoid if possible!

I would not recommend this place to anyone! My daughter and I have gone to this office 5 times now and we have only been able to see a doctor once - opting to see someone else (a PA-C, or FNP) instead of waiting a week for an appointment with a doctor. The nurses have always been great and they seem very competent. The staff at the front desk has been great with the exception of one visit. The FNP we recently saw, however, was horribly rude and incompetent. Honest to goodness it seemed like she heard the symptoms, argued about what my daughter already knew was wrong, had no idea what was going on, and then went and looked it up on the internet or something. Then she failed for two days to return calls for a follow-up problem and we ended up having to go somewhere else for treatment.

On another visit for a school physical, all that was done was a quick check of the ears and knee reflexes. Many folks may not have a problem with that but frankly, I want a well-done physical instead of having my kid collapse on the football field!

I'm a military brat so I don't mind a lot of things that most people would complain about in medical care but my advice on this place is unless you just need a prescription refill or something, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! It's that bad.

I am going to be honest, I hav...

I am going to be honest, I have been a patient here since 1998 and in the last few years they have become nothing more than a glorified Patient First, and the bedside manner is all but gone. All they want to do it throw a prescription at you and not much more. And getting a same day appointment is about out of the question.

I and my family have been going to Chickahominy Family Practice for nearly 20 years. The doctors and nurse practitioners all display a high degree of professionalism and competence. I have found the office staff to be extremely courteous, organized, polite and helpful. If anyone has found Michelle or her staff to be rude and/or unhelpful, I would assume that it was because that person behaved inappropriately in the first place and Michelle and her staff responded in a way that any of us would.

Dr. Gokli, Dr. Thomas, and Joe...

Dr. Gokli, Dr. Thomas, and Joe treat you well and in my opinion are good doctors. Because of the professionalism of office staff (front counter) I have to rate low on courtesy/professionalism of office staff, and bedside manner as the front counter personnal are the first repersenatives one encounters. Especially the one who is seated to the left as you enter, is to say the least, the rudest one of all. I think this is because of the office manager, Michelle, who is totally rude and unprofessional and passes this indifference of attitude on to her staff. Because of this if there were any health care providers closer I would surely drop Chickahominy Family Practice and go somewhere else. I will also pass this impression on to all that I know via all avenews of information technology.

Demand to see their MD if you don't agree!

I chose the Providence Forge Medcare, part of the Chicahominy Family Practice, Inc., because they had

one or more family doctors available in the building. I had assumed that the nurse practicioner Margaret Mountcastle would consult one of the medical doctors when I began to have serious trouble with a prescription that she presribed and continued to increase in dosage

regarless of its bad effects. When I asked her to get another opinion from the doctors, she retorted: "I know as much as they do--they're just p.c.s!" (primary care).

She is not a board certified family doctor. What ego!

I found another medical practice---I never should have been taking that dosage or even that medicine!

Worst staff I have ever encountered

First of all, there is only one doctor there, the rest are PA's but you get charged the same as if you were seen by a real doctor...but you only will if it is somewhat severe and the real MD sees you.

Most importantly, the staff SUCKS to say the least, they are all rude, inconsiderate, (mostly obese) women who I am assuming are not nurses..maybe LPN's, CNA's to be polite but are just receptionists who seem to hate their lives and their jobs. DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT HERE!

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN MUST READ!!!!!!!!

My family have been going to this practice for 6 years,So when my daughter got hit in her head and was cut.I needed it looked at to see if she needed stitches.I called the doctors office at 12:04 to see if they could see her,The receptionist said yes bring her in they stopped seeing patients at 12:00,but since this a emergency bring her in.When i got there with my daughter the receptionist told me to go to the E.R. because the doctor said they were closed.I asked her to tell the doctor to please let me know if she needs to go the ER if she could please look at the cut(plus that was the reason i came in the first place when on the phone the receptionist said my child could be seen). The doctor(Elissa Dinsmore, FNP)came to the waiting room and said she would not take a look because they are closed.I said to her the receptionist said it would be ok to come up here because its an emergency. She said no we are closed,we closed at 11:30.I said i wouldnt have come up here for no reason.Your receptionist said you could see her.She said

no and shut the door to the waiting room. She was very rude and showed no compassion for my 8 year old daughter at all.She acted like it ment nothing to her. Also there was a women checking out,One seated in the waiting room. And the phones were still on and the door wasnt locked. Its not like i walked in off the street! My child ended up getting 4 staples in her head at the ER.
