Sorry, QVC you have failed... ...

Sorry, QVC you have failed... This review pertains only to the boarding side of this facility...

I travel almost constantly with work and want only the best accommodations for my dogs while I'm away...I was referred to Quakertown's boarding facility from my vet...This once the ideal place to take my Huskies - friendly and courteous staff, knowledgeable front desk people and my dogs loved coming here...The staff would have no problem feeding with my own food or giving any needed medications (Frontline/Interceptor)...Because I knew my pets were taken care of, I did not mind the 2 hour drive...Yes - I live just outside of NYC...

However, things have changed...Different staff have now taken over the place, who have absolutely no courtesy or professionalism, and my dogs are no longer taken care of...On multiple occasions, I have gotten my dogs back full of energy (which means they weren't walked or ran enough), I was given back full bags of food that were not even opened and have seen my dogs dragged by their leashes...My dogs now hesitated even walking in the front door...I even once received my dogs with matted coats and reeking of feces...

I complained to the boarding manager each and every time something wasn't right, but nothing was done...I phoned multiple times to speak with the owner who never returned my messages...I eventually spoke to the owners assistant, who was very polite and professional, as she heard me out on each and every issues, but still my complaints went nowhere...According to her, I am not the only one with these issues...Why can't something be done?!?

I spend over $5000 per year on boarding, and my business alone should be sufficient enough to warrant some attention to my concerns...I have given plenty of opportunities to fix these problems, but alas, they weren't...I am no longer making the trip...

Sorry, QVC you have failed...

I trusted them. However, It was the most horrible experience that I have ever experienced in my life. They didn't even diagnose my dog and prescribed her so many meds. They gave her a shot in her hind area to make her unable to throw up. Her body could not handle all the meds then she could not even throw up. She was in pain due to the meds. They also gave her fluids in her neck when she was not even dehydrated. Since they never even diagnosed her I believe truly a case of malpractice. I had to bring her back the same evening 12 midnight in the rain to be put down. They gave me a courtesy discount to put her down. It was so terrible. My dog was only 7 years old. They also mentioned if all that doesn't work you go buy pepto tablets and try that too. At the time i was trusting all they said to do. My dog so sick from the first round of meds i never even had a chance to give her anything else. the meds they gave were so hard on her that she cried and moaned and suffered. This they did to my beloved companion.

I was going to take them to court as I truly believe this was a clear cut case of total lack of proper medical care for my beautiful companion and friend.

I was seriously considering suing them . However,My Father said it would be best for me and my family not to rehash the experience in court. Besides, no amount of money could bring my dog back but worse was that she didn't need to suffer. My family decided to let go and let God handle these folks.

REST IN PEACE BISSIE

My 11 year old cat was suffering from constant sneezing, runny eyes and mucus when I took him to this clinic. They 1st put him under anesthesia for a dental exam/cleaning to eliminate any dental infections. Then he went under again at a later date for a biopsy through his nasal cavity to make sure he had no tumors or cancer. At the end of it all I was left with a $1300 balance (after I already paid about $100-$300 at each previous visit) and his diagnosis was stamped "idiopathetc" which means "of unknown cause". I couldn't pay the remaining balance in full so I was put on a payment plan with them. I then took him to another clinic - this time a small family owned clinic in Stewartsville, NJ and the doc there suggested an allergy shot to see if his symptons subsided. Almost immediately he no longer sneezed, wheezed or had watery eyes. So...my cat has allergies!!! I called Quakertown and explained this to them in hopes that they could work with me on my remaining balance (which is now $600) and after calling and leaving 4 messages within a few of weeks I got a hold of the manager who then asked for his records from the other vet, which I provided, and then she told me the Doc would call me after reviewing it. Doc (Dr. Joe Consigli) calls me, gives me this crap about process of elimination then ended it with "I don't feel there is any justification to reduce the balance". He mentioned process of elimination but he couldn't eliminate the more obvious one before putting an 11 year cat under anesthesia TWICE to check for tumors and cancer? Sad that I actually thought that going to a larger facility like this would care about him, and not about an extra buck. Nonetheless I'll pay the 1k plus bill for his idiopatic diagnosis, but you guys will never see me or my 2 other family members and 3 or 4 friends that I have sent your way again. BTW, my kitty is doing well, thanks to Dr. Blease and his team at Common Sense for Animals in Stewartsville, NJ.

If this vet is that bad , and I heard from another person just tonight about QVC and how rude their staff is. They can be reported to either the humane society, or the ASPCA. They sound like they should be investigated for their business ethics.

Worst Vet Ever!!!

They misdiagnoised my dog, botched the operation and charged me an astronomical amount of money!!! the vets are rude and only out to make a profit!! they also let another dog of ours die in its cage and they are always selling you things. We are never going back there! Then they wanted to charge us to take the x-rays which I paid for! Now my dog will never walk right because they are incompetent vets and screwed up the operation on her leg.
